Apex Legends Wingman & Spitfire Changes Season 14

Respawn Entertainment is gearing up for Apex Legends Season 14 and has confirmed several major changes coming to the next season. In a recent press event, the game developers announced huge adjustments for the semi-automatic revolver, Wingman, and popular LMG, Spitfire.

Here’s everything you need to know about Wingman & Spitfire Changes arriving in Apex Legends Season 14.

Starting with everyone’s beloved Spitfire, the weapon will now require Light ammo instead of heavy rounds to operate. Since Spitfire is classified as a heavy weapon, the gun meta will be severely affected once Season 14 drops out.

The primary reason is that changing the ammo type may also affect the Spitfire’s stats, including damage, range, and more. On top of that, moving to the light ammo will directly impact the weapon attachments. For example, players will need to equip an Extended Light Mag instead of a Heavy Mag attachment after Apex Legends Season 14 to increase Spitfire's bullet capacity.

Speaking of the Wingman, the weapon ammo type is also changing after the next season. With Season 14, players will need Sniper ammo instead of Heavy to use Wingman. The developers reported that it was too easy to run the Wingman in terms of ammo economy. Similar to the Spitfire, Wingman will take Sniper attachments instead of heavy ones after Season 14. However, it remains to be seen whether Respawn changes the weapon’s stats or not.

During the event, Respawn told that they are not happy with the state of the Wingman and Spitfire. Therefore, they are implementing these changes for these two popular weapons.

Apart from these major Wingman and Spitfire updates, Apex Legends Season 14 is set to bring a new sniper-focused Legend called Vantage. The new legend boasts abilities like Sniper Kit, Echo Launch, and Mark To Kill.

Kings Canyon, the battle royale map is also getting an overhaul in the new Season. Finally, a couple of ranked weapons, level cap, and Gold Equipment changes are set to drop with Season 14 on August 9.
