How to win Apex Legends Flashpoint mode

With the start of the Apex Legends Unshackled event, players will now be able to participate in the Flashpoint game mode. It is a limited-time mode that has returned from Apex Legends Season 6.

Seeing that Apex Legends has gained popularity over the seasons, Flashpoint could be a new game mode for many players. This game mode is only available from 19th April 2022 to 3rd May 2022 during the Unshackled Event, and here’s a complete guide on how to win it.

In Flashpoint, players don’t have any health or shield recharge items, and the only way to heal is through a Flashpoint zone. Teams compete as in a regular battle royal match, but the Match Ring is always closing and eventually engulfs the entire map making the game go much faster.

The Flashpoint Zones are domes that require a player to stand inside to heal both health and shields. These domes don’t provide any shield or protection, and there are multiple zones across the map.

While inside of the Flashpoint Zone, a player’s health will regenerate to full, then begin recovering shields when not taking any damage. Unlike the Control LTM, players don’t have to control the zones to get points or win the match.

For the Unshackled Event, Flashpoint will always be played on the Olympus map. Any points received while playing Flashpoint will go towards a player’s Battle Pass as well as the event challenges.

Best Legends for Flashpoint Mode

Some Legends are a better choice than others for the Flashpoint LTM like Lifeline and Wattson since one can heal and one can recover shields. Octane is another good Legend to pick since he has health regeneration ability and can quickly move in and out of the zones. Valkyrie is also suitable for moving in and out of the Flashpoint zones.

If you want to play defensively and control the zones, both Caustic and Bangalore are great options. Rampart can be helpful for holding a zone down while she and her teammates can hide behind the protective walls.

Flashpoint Mode Tips

Since the map ring is always closing, it’s important to pay attention to where the final ring will be from the start of the match. This will give you an idea of which Flashpoint Zones to prioritize and the best direction for your team to take.

Unless you’re going to play with defensive characters, it’s advised to enter Flashpoint Zone and exit it as soon as your health and shield are recovered. Staying on the outskirts of the zone will allow you to attack other teams as they run for the zone. These zones will be magnets for all players, so using them as a trap can give you the advantage.

It’s essential to stay coordinated with your team by not being caught in the zone all at once. If one player waits outside of the zone while the others go in to heal, they can recover any teammates that fall.
