Perfect World League Season 1: How to watch, schedule, teams, format and more

There's no shortage of CS:GO esports action in April 2021, with the conclusion of the BLAST Premier Spring 2021 Showdown which was quickly followed by the Funspark ULTI 2020 Europe Final. On 20th April 2021, yet another big CS:GO tournament kicks off, and this time, it is in the Asia region. We are talking about the Perfect World League Season 1, an RMR event leading giving teams from Asia a shot at RMR points to make it to the Stockholm Major coming later this year.

Here's everything you need to know about the Perfect World League Season 1 tournament, from the prize pool to the schedule, how to watch all the action and more.

Perfect World League Season 1 Prize pool

Teams will be fighting it out for their share of the $100,000 USD prize pool. More importantly for most teams, however, is the RMR points they can acquire to give themselves a shot at a spot in the Stockholm Major.

The prize pool and points distribution are:

  • 1st place - $30,000 and 1,600 RMR points
  • 2nd place - $25,000 and 1,500 RMR points
  • 3rd place - $15,000 and 1,400 RMR points
  • 4th place - $10,000 and 1,300 RMR points
  • 5th to 8th place - $5,000 each

While the prize pool isn't that massive compared to some European tournaments, the shot at a Major spot will make this tournament an extremely exciting one to watch.

Perfect World League Season 1 Format

There are three stages to the Perfect World League Season 1 format. The tournament begins with a Group stage, with a round-robin format. The top two teams from each of the two groups will advance to Stage 2. All matches in the group stages are best-of-three.

Stage 2 will feature a round-robin Group format with the four qualifying teams from Stage 1. The winner of the group will proceed to the Grand Final of the playoffs, while the runner-up proceeds to the semifinal. The 3rd and 4th places in the group will proceed to the quarterfinal.

In Stage 3, we get the playoffs. This features a single-elimination bracket format with all matches being best-of-three.

Teams in Perfect World Leagues Season 1

There's a total of eight teams competing in the Perfect World Season 1 tournament. These teams are the best from the Asia region, and should provide some fantastic CS:GO esports action.

The Perfect World Season 1 teams are:

  • Team Renewal

As you can see, the team distributions in Group A and B both look quite good, and we should see some close matches, especially in Group A where Invictus Gaming could contend with TYLOO.
