What Is The Best Sandevistan Build In Cyberpunk 2077?
Are you the ride-or-die type? Good! This David Martinez build in Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 is perfect for you! Much like our Night City legends' life goes, this Edgerunners character build is targeted to those who prefer hyper-aggressive playstyles and want to deal devastating close-quarters blows.
In particular, this Sandevistan build will take full advantage of update 2.0's overpowered new Cyberware. While we won't leverage the Projectile Launch System, we will instead use the Gorilla Arms, combined with Sandevistan and other Perks, to transform you into a melee combat demigod.
To note, you can use Smart Weapons with this build; however, we'll primarily focus on the get-your-hands-dirty approach. That said, this build is quite taxing and is primarily tailored to the endgame. So, while leveling, it might be a good idea to deviate somewhat to make your early game a bit easier and then reallocate Attribute Points once you've reached the later parts of the game.
- Body: 20
- Reflexes: 20
- Technical Ability: 20
- Intelligence: 4
- Cool: 17
Note: The primary Attributes to focus on are Technical Ability, Body, and Reflexes, with a greater emphasis on the former of the three options. Depending on whether you want to focus on using Blunt or Smart Weapons, then you'll either level up Body or Cool, respectively. Reflexes will be the Attribute you focus on the least out of these three, with no points allocated to Intelligence.
The choice of weapon is pivotal in this David Martinez Sandevistan build in Cyberpunk 2077. The best option is the Gorilla Arms, especially when augmented with the new Relics: Jailbreak" and "Limiter Removal" in the Phantom Liberty DLC expansion.
These Relics cause your Gorilla Arms to charge up as you attack, dealing massive damage and creating a shockwave that hits nearby enemies in the vicinity when fully charged. In short, your foes will quite literally go flying! This combo unleashes devastating melee power, making close-quarter combat a breeze.
For ranged encounters, any Pistolenhanced with Deadeye and Focus perks ensures precision and increased damage, offering a balanced combat approach. For this build, we've used Her Majesty Pistol and the Ol' Reliable Revolver, as well as the Baby Boomer Club for the early game. While the Projectile Launch System isn't a primary focus in this updated build, it remains a potent alternative.
Best Operating System
The Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan operating system will allow you to slow time by 70%, making it a central feature of this David Martinez character build. In addition, you'll get +10% damage, +15% Crit Chance, and +10% Crit Damage when it's active. Neutralizing an enemy when Sandevistan is active will also offer a +10% extended duration of Sandevistan and +10% Health.
On the other hand, you could also run with the Militech "Apogee" Sandevistan option if you prefer +10% headshot damage, +9% Crit Chance, and +13% Crit Damage instead. With this operating system, you'll also get an extension of +20% and 22% boosted Stamina after neutralizing an enemy when it's active.
In terms of Cyberware for this Sandevistan build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, the most important option is (obviously) the Gorilla Arms. When equipped, you'll gain access to hard-hitting arm replacement gear, offering +6 to Body Attribute checks, +2.9% melee damage with a 20% Bleeding chance, +4.3 HP, and +1.1% Explosion Damage Resistance.
You'll want to pick up Para Bellum and Universal Booster in the Skeleton line for additional Armor, Health Regen, Explosion Damage Resistance, and Melee Damage Resistance. In essence, these options will allow you to take a hit as well as you can deal it. Dense Marrow is another great Cyberware option, offering +.01% Crit Chance per Reflex point, as well as Bonus Stealth Damage, Armor, and Melee Damage Resistance.
For the Nervous System options, grab Adreno Trigger and Neofiber. These Cyberware upgrades will boost mobility when activating Sandevistan, allowing you to get to your enemies as fast as possible. This pairs well with the Leeroy Ligament System Legs option for a +19% movement speed and improved Weapon Handling.
Then, for the Integumentary System, go for Peripheral Inverse, Chitin, and Pain Editor to reduce incoming damage. Likewise, Biomonitor, Blood Pump, and Microrotors from the Circulatory System line will improve Health, HP Regen, Melee Attack Speed, and Health Item effectiveness to improve overall survivability.
Finally, the Kiroshi "The Oracle" Optics will improve battle awareness —it lets you see enemies hiding behind walls and highlights explosive devices nearby. It also offers extra HP, further enhancing your survivability, which is super important for a melee-focussed Sandevistan build in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 Sandevistan Build: Pros & Cons
Every build has its strengths and weaknesses. This David Martinez build in Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 offers enhanced melee combat abilities, efficient health and damage reduction perks, and increased movement speed, making it ideal for close-quarter combats.
It harnesses the Cyberware enhancements of the 2.0 update. However, it does come with a few quirks (especially for beginners). More specifically, although the Sandevistan build is potent, it demands significant time and resources, making it tailored for the endgame.
Beyond this, there is a strong focus on melee combat, and the "all-in" Technical Abilities approach may limit players who prefer ranged combats or other combat styles. It also does not fully support the integration of smart weapons. So, while this specialized build provides an exhilarating melee combat experience, it is certainly not universally adaptable.
