Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberware: What Implants To Use & Where To Find

One of the first things you would like to do when start playing Cyberpunk 2077 is to find good Cyberware. This article will help you to understand which Cyberware is best for you in the early game.
Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberware: What Implants To Use & Where To Find

Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge game with a vast open-world and a myriad of possibilities.

A very important part of the game's world and the gameplay itself are cybernetic enhancements called cyberware.

Cyberware can change your body in various ways - to make you stronger, more resistant, or to simply add you a bunch of new features.

For more general information on Cyberware, please read our Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberware guide

In this article, we will help you to understand which Cyberware is best for you in the early stages of the game and where can you find it.

Cyberware can be found all around Night City, but the very best implants will usually require you to do more than just buying them at your local Ripperdoc.

Some will require special components, some will be only available as quest rewards, some will be hidden and waiting for you to find them, and for some, you will have to fight your way through.

But for the purpose of this article, we will focus on a beginner Cyberware which you should use in the first stages of the game.

And for that, most of the good stuff you will be able to find simply by visiting various Ripperdocs in Night City.

A lot of clinics have some unique pieces of equipment which you can buy, so make sure to visit them wherever you are in their vicinity.

With all that in mind, let's take a look at what good Cyberware you should install the moment it becomes available.

Cyberpunk 2077 Implants - Best Cyberware

Smart-Link Grip

This one will allow you to use auto-targeting with Smart weapons and you can get him completely free early in the game.

Finish the “The Heist” quest, then go to Westbrook, and find Wakako to talk about a quest called  “The Gig”. She will give you a free "coupon" for a Smart-Link tattoo at a Ripperdoc in the northern part of Night City.

Synlungs

Artificial lungs that are installed in the cardiovascular system and improve the regeneration of your endurance.

They are quite useful for players that will often go into direct combat with their enemies as endurance is crucial for prolonged battles.

Dermal Armour

This one is simple but it's really important for the early game. It is a cheap and quite useful basic Cyberware implant, for which you will have enough money to buy it early in the game, and it will probably be one of the first implants you will install.

What does it do? It gives you a few extra armour points. Nothing flashy, but really important.

Arasaka Mantis Blades /  Gorilla Arms

These are iconic weapons and you should have them not just because they are really useful and practical, but also because they are absolutely cool and the feeling of playing with them is phenomenal.

In order to be able to purchase them, you will first need to have 20 Street Cred (basically your street reputation), at which point these Cyberware will become available for purchase.

If you are investing in your Body attribute, you should buy Gorilla Arms, and if you invest in Reflexes/Blades, you should go for the Mantis Blades.

Synaptic Accelerator

If you are planning on playing a stealth Netrunner build, this one is a must.

It is a triggerable Cyberware for Nervous System that slows down time when you’re spotted by an enemy and gives you just enough time to go back to safety or out of the enemy's field of view.

Reflex Tuners

This triggered cyberware also slows down time, but it is better if you are playing a Solo build and it can save you in the heat of battle.

It activates slow motion as soon as your health falls below a critical value which will give you enough time to either escape, heal yourself, or neutralize the enemy threat.

Reinforced Tendons

This Cyberware enables you to do double-jumping and run around the city much more quickly. Not only that it is fun to use it, but can also be quite handy both in and out of a fight.

Reinforced Tendons usefulness is all-around very good and you don't need any particular build in order to use it, so it is something you should generally install no matter how would you like to play - great for ambushes, and great for open battles and shooting.

Think of strafe jumping and bunny hopping in competitive FPS games, but much stronger and more fun!

And those will be all for now. The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is full with all kinds of useful implants and upgrades so make sure to check Ripperdocs regularly as you level up and progress through the game.
