Genshin Impact's latest Sumeru Adventure Journal details exciting information regarding the new creatures, plants, and terrifying threats you'll face during your time in Sumeru. Posing a less than friendly demeanor when encountered, these enemies and bosses will test all those who challenge them in battle.

From a human mercenary group to mechanical enemies, plenty of danger lurks within villages, the desert, and the rainforest for the Traveler and Paimon. We'll be detailing what we know thus far about the new Fungi, enemies, and bosses that can be found in Sumeru for Genshin Impact's 3.0 update.

Genshin Impact 3.0 - All New Fungi, Enemies, And Bosses

Sumeru welcomes a host of creatures and enemies that Travelers will face across the region. These include new variations of Fungi with the Floating Dendro Fungus previously encountered when exploring The Chasm in Liyue.

These Fungi are more adaptable to their environments as they can harness the surrounding elements. As such, these are the new Fungi you can find during your journey but do approach them with caution:

  • Stretch Anemo Fungus
  • Whirling Electro Fungus
  • Grounded Hydroshroom
  • Winged Dendroshroom

As seen throughout the various Preview Teaser trailers, Travelers spotted brand-new enemies who'll attempt to halt the Traveler and Paimon when in Sumeru. The first of these new enemies is a mercenary group known as the Eremites.

What we know thus far about this mercenary outfit is their claims of being descendants of an ancient civilization traced back to the Sumeru desert. While they can be visibly seen in villages throughout the region, they're willing to take up any work for a price, gaining quite the reputation.

One of their close affiliates, Dehya, was seen in the third Genshin Impact Preview Teaser trailer, who could potentially be a playable character in future updates. Nevertheless, Travelers can also encounter the Eremite Desert Clearwater and Sunfrost enemies around these villages.

There are new Ruin Machine enemies, hinted at in the multiple Preview Teaser trailers, which may have some connections to the region's history. After the Ruin Serpent debuts in the Genshin Impact 2.6 update, the Ruin Drake: Earthguard and Ruin Drake: Skywatch are the next mechanical enemies to appear as they possess the appearance of a "dragon-shaped machine."

Lastly, two new Normal Bosses, the Electro Regisvine and the Jadeplume Terrorshroom, can unleash devastating DMG when Travelers battle against them. The Electro Regisvine is a large vine that uses high voltages of Electro power to transform into a giant Electro monster; the Jadeplume Terrorshroom is the final manifestation of a fungal creature.

The Genshin Impact 3.0 update, "The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings," releases for PlayStation consoles, mobile devices, and PC via the Epic Games Store on 24th August 2022.
