MultiVersus Superman Guide - All Perks, Moves, Specials, And More

There's no doubt that MultiVersus has been off to a hot start since its initial release in July 2022. The new Fighting title allows players to take control of a multitude of characters throughout the Warner Brothers catalog, and battle it out in classic arcade-style fashion.

Of course, Superman had to feature as one of the playable characters, in fact, he's the oldest character on the MultiVersus roster. The iconic superhero is certain to be an ultra-popular pick amongst MultiVersus players, as he's one of the most recognizable characters in all of entertainment. If you're interested in learning how to play as the Man of Steel, follow along with our Superman guide below for MultiVersus.

Superman Perks - MultiVersus

Superman comes equipped with three different Signature Perks in MultiVersus, they are as follows:

  • Flaming Re-Entry - Causes the landing hitbox of his grounded up-special to Ignite enemies. Leaves a firewall on the ground.
  • Break the Ice - Enables Superman to deal additional damage to enemies debuffed by Ice. Damage Output increases with each stack of the debuff.
  • Sniper Punch - Extends the range of Superman's grounded side-special. Allows Superman to deal more damage when the attack connects from a further distance.

Superman operates as a tank-style character in MultiVersus, so you'll want to select Offensive and Defensive Perks that accentuate his play style.

Here are the best picks for Superman's Offensive/Defensive/Utility Perks in MultiVersus:

  • Wildcat Brawler (Offense) - Adds a 5% damage buff to grounded melee attacks.
  • Kryptonian Skin (Defense) - Decreases the amount of damage taken from enemy attacks by 4%.
  • Triple Jump (Utility) - Allows Superman to perform a third (3rd) aerial jump after hitting an opponent in the air.

Superman Attacks and Specials - MultiVersus

Every character in MultiVersus has an extensive list of moves that are considered Normal Attacks and Specials. They can either be done from neutral, in the air, or while moving to get different effects. Here are all the Normal Attacks and Specials for Superman in MultiVersus.

  • Ice Breath - Superman blows a freezing cloud onto the ground. Opponents hit by Superman’s Ice Breath are knocked back and freeze for a timed period.
  • Locomotive Charge - Superman dashes forwards and delivers a powerful punch. This attack can be charged and aimed slightly upwards to hit opponents trying to dodge.
  • Ten-Ton Tackle - Superman flies sideways, this move can be extended for a longer flight. Direction can be controlled, and if Superman makes contact with an opponent while flying, he’ll grab them, break their armor and deliver a punch.
  • Meteor Liftoff - Superman launches up into the air before hurtling back down to the ground. Any opponents hit at any point of the attack (Up or Down) receive damage.
  • Go Long - Superman grabs his opponent, breaks their armor, and throws them. (The direction of the throw can be controlled).
  • Heat Vision - Superman shoots lasers out of his eyes, forming a path that ignites and creates a fire projectile across the ground (all opponents touched by the attack receive damage). Opponents hit with the attack also receive a brief debuff, which allows Superman to deal even more damage.

That covers everything you need to know about how to play Superman in MultiVersus, as well as all his Perks, Moves, and Specials.
