Blizzard has confirmed there will be a new hero coming to Season 2 of Overwatch 2. We even know that the new upcoming hero will be a tank role hero.
During the Overwatch League 2022 grand finals, it was actually revealed that the new tank hero coming to Overwatch 2 is named Ramattra. Ramattra will be a shapeshifting character and is going to be a completely new type of tank in Overwatch 2.
Here is the reveal video for Ramattra:
On top of Ramattra being revealed, there are also leaks about his gameplay in Overwatch 2.
- Void Accelerator (Omnic Form) - Default
- Vortex of Gluttony - E
- Chastisement (Nemesis Form) - Shift
- Destruction (Ultimate) -Q
From what has been shown, Ramattra will be shapeshifting for his tanking capabilities. Players will need to consider what form Ramattra is in before engaging with him.
On top of Ramattra being introduced to the game, there will be several balance changes to various heroes in Overwatch 2. Players can expect Sojourn, Ana, Bastion, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Mercy, and Symmetra to have some big balance changes once Season 2 hits.

Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass & Skins
Blizzard is also planning on adding over 30+ new skins to the game, including a brand-new mythic skin. Mythic skins are the newest tier of skins rarity in Overwatch 2. Although it is a bit limited, players can actually customize mythic skins to look how they want them to look. Right now, only Genji has a mythic skin in the game.
Of course, a new season also means a new battle pass. It was recently revealed that the newest customizable Mythic Skin is going to be Zeus Junker Queen. Blizzard has also confirmed that the Junker Queen Mythic Skin will be locked behind the completion of the Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass.
On top of Junker Queen getting a new Mythic Skin, there are going to be a couple of other heroes that will also get Olympus-themed skins. The heroes that are getting some new skins are Widowmaker, Roadhog, Ramattra, Reinhardt, and Lucio.
New Events Coming To Season 2 Of Overwatch 2
The new skins, including the new Junker Queen Mythic skin, will be part of a new game mode coming to Overwatch 2 Season 2. The new game mode is called Battle for Olympus. The game mode will be available to play from January 5 until January 19.
On top of the Battle for Olympus game mode, Blizzard has stated that a Lunar New Year event is also coming to Overwatch 2. The Lunar New Year event lasts from January 17 until February 1 and participating in the event will actually land you some new skins.
