The cozy MMO Palia will be receiving the last few updates for 2023, which will introduce the winter months to Kilima Village and Bahari Bay to get Villagers into the festive spirit. Alongside the upcoming Nintendo Switch launch, developer Singularity 6 will be making homes a lot warmer in time for Christmas.

The developer has detailed a slew of new additions and changes arriving in forthcoming patches, which include changes to add-ons and Housing Clusters. Before updating or renovating your home again, this guide explains what Housing Clusters are and the new changes coming to Palia.

Palia’s Housing system will gain some new adjustments in upcoming patch updates that hope to resolve ongoing issues regarding Housing Add-ons. Players new to the game might not be familiar with add-ons, which are additional housing structures or buildings players can acquire and place on their Housing plot for function and cosmetic purposes.

As detailed in the October 2023 Developer Update, the studio will increase the total number of Housing Add-ons to 30 by introducing Housing Clusters. Clusters are a unique trait of the Housing system that groups Main Houses with 1-15 Housing Add-ons, which are called a cluster.

Presently, players are limited to a Housing Cluster comprising their Main House and up to 15 Add-ons, and with the new adjustment, this Housing Cluster will be expanded to 30 Add-ons total. This means that players can now style a Housing Cluster to reflect a newly added Guesthouse, a dedicated space for arts and crafts, a Greenhouse, a Shrine, or perhaps something entirely eerie.

All Housing Add-Ons In Palia

As of writing, there are ten unique Housing Add-ons that players can buy from the cash register at the City Hall, ranging from additional rooms to cosmetic add-ons. Let’s look at all the available add-ons players can purchase at City Hall and their current pricing in Gold:

Add-On Type: Add-On Name: Price/Cost:
Rooms Harvest House 15,000 Gold
Large Room 10,000 Gold
Medium Room 8,000 Gold
Narrow Hallway Section 3,200 Gold
Small Room 6,750 Gold
Cosmetic Add-ons Fireplace Add-on 4,000 Gold
Gazebo 10,000 Gold
Killima Door 1,000 Gold
Killima Porch 1,600 Gold
Windmill 5,000 Gold

Right now, there is a limit regarding the number of add-ons players can have on their Housing plot, which currently stands at 15 Housing Add-ons. The reasoning behind this restriction is for the developer to monitor its potential to hamper game performance with the number of Housing Add-ons and decor items placed.

Likewise, this will also see an adjustment to the maximum number of decor items placed within the Housing plot, which is currently set to 2,000 furnishing pieces. Likely added alongside the Housing Cluster adjustment, players will now have an increased limit as they can place 3,000 furnishings or decor pieces on their plot.

Palia is currently available in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is slated to release on the Nintendo Switch, releasing Holiday Season 2023.
