We're already days into the festivities as Villagers welcome the Year of the Dragon with a Luna New Year rendition of the Maji Market. With plenty of activities to partake in, new quests to explore, and rewards so generous that everyone's a winner, there are tasty treats to enjoy, which players can take home.

And by meaning home, there are new recipes to acquire, which players can buy from a specific stall while the market is open. If they're hungry for more delicious treats, players can bring home the tastes and aromas by getting these new recipes as described in this guide for Palia.

How To Find The New Cooking Recipes At Maji Market In Palia?

Palia's v.0176 patch update added the returning Maji Market event, new features, content, and many adjustments and improvements. Some of the new content included in this update are nine new cooking recipes obtained during the Maji Market: Luna New Year Celebration.

The recipes can all be purchased at Reth's Street Specialties stall, located west of the Hotpot Card Game tables on the lower deck. However, to buy them, players will need Lucky Envelopes, which are earned by participating in the Chapaa Chase and Hotpot Card Game and rewarded from quests, making wishes at the Wish Tree and Zeki's Lucky Wheel.

These delectable dishes can be prepared guaranteed players have the required ingredients, including the new forageables, Ginger and Green Onion, new crops like Bok Choy and Napa Cabbage for 25 and 15 Lucky Envelopes each, and the new ingredient, Soy Sauce. The Soy Sauce can be bought at Reth's Street Specialties stall for 35 Lucky Envelopes per bottle.

The recipes which are added to Palia for the Maji Market are as follows:

  • Kimchi Fried Rice: 2,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Lucky Braised Fish: 8,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Mushroom Dumpling Soup: 2,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Pan Fried Dumplings: 1,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Rice Cake Soup: 2,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Rice Cake Stir Fry: 4,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Spicy Crab Fried Rice: 2,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Steamed Fish: 1,000 Lucky Envelopes
  • Stuffed Cabbage Rolls: 2,000 Lucky Envelopes

Lastly, the developer has stated that the new forageables and crops will be available to purchase once the event ends, and the crops' seeds are likely to be acquired from Zeki's General Store. The crops themselves could be acquired from the Daiya Family Farm's Crop Store, but their costs have yet to be confirmed.

As for the Ginger and Green Onion, they are already available to forage in the open world of Kilima Village and Bahari Bay. However, it's unclear if the Soy Sauce will be available after the event as they have yet to specify in the patch notes nor the Maji Market event post on this specific ingredient.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
