The second Maji Market sees Majiri, Grimalkin, and Galdur celebrating the start of the new year with plenty of food, activities, and lively fireworks. As it's the Luna New Year, which ushers in the Year of the Dragon, many Villagers are hanging wishes for the new year, which players can partake in using the Wish Ribbon.

The Wish Ribbon is an item that players can receive and use during the Maji Market event to make a wish for Luck, Longevity, or Prosperity. Players looking to get a Wish Ribbon can learn how to get and use the Wish Ribbon and what rewards they can receive in Palia.

To participate in the wish-making tradition, players will receive a blank Wish Ribbon enclosed in a letter forwarded to their Mailbox from Chayne. The first time they'll receive a blank Wish Ribbon is at the start of the Maji Market or before starting the New Year, New Wishes quest.

Players will receive more Wish Ribbons throughout the Maji Market event each time they've used the Wish Ribbon to make a wish. They'll have to wait for time to pass in-game to retrieve their Wish Gift box from the Wish Tree before they can receive another blank Wish Ribbon from their Mailbox or be notified when in-game.

Now, as to how players can use the Wish Ribbon, they'll first need to receive one from their Mailbox or be alerted in-game. With the Wish Ribbon on hand, they can head to the Kilima Village Fairgrounds on foot, heading southeast of Whispering Banks.

Another option is to use the Stables Boards anywhere in  Kilima Village or Bahari Bay and fast travel to the Maji market location, taking the Kilima Village Fairgrounds option and spending 25 Gold. Next, they must head to the Wish Tree, the large tree at the center of the location, and locate the Dye Station to the right of the tree.

At this station are three boxes of colored dye: Blue, Pink, and Orange, representing the three themes of the Maji Market: Luna New Year Celebration: Luck, Longevity, and Prosperity. For Palia and the event, each color and theme are associated with a reward players can earn: Blue (Luck) Wish Ribbons grant Lucky Envelopes, Pink (Longevity) Wish Ribbons are Renown, and Orange (Prosperity) Wish Ribbons are for Gold.

After dying their Wish Ribbon in their chosen color, they can approach the Wish Tree and interact with it to hang their Wish Ribbon in a tree, playing a short cutscene. They are to wait the following night for their wish to come true and can interact with the statue to retrieve their gift before repeating the process once they've received a new blank Wish Ribbon.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
