The Modification mechanic will be introduced to players once they’ve continued to learn and level up the Furniture-Making Skill in Palia. With Tish as their Guild Master, they will have access to various blueprints, crafters, and items, including the Furniture Modification Kits.
These items are used in conjunction with the Modification Bench, which can also be acquired from Tish and utilized to change the appearance of furniture pieces. Learn in this guide to sofa up their decorating skills on how to get and use the Modification Kits in Palia.
How To Get The Modification Kits In Palia?
As briefly mentioned, the Modification mechanic allows players to decorate their homes further by customizing crafted Furniture pieces placed in their homes. This is primarily achieved through the Modification Bench, a crafter for the Furniture-Making Skill that its blueprint can be purchased for 500 Gold from Tish.
Once the Modification Bench has been crafted and placed, ensuring players have purchased a Crafting Licence to be placed, interacting with the bench will let them enhance any Furniture piece from the colors available. To modify the furniture, they’ll need Furniture Modification Kits, which are unique tools that allow players to customize furniture to their desired look.
However, there’s only one confirmed way they can be these kits: buying them from Tish for 100 Gold per kit. Remember that customizing furniture will require a certain number of kits, so players are to ensure they have enough kits purchased before using the Modification Bench.
How To Use The Modification Kits In Palia?
By now, players will know that the purpose of the Furniture Modification Kits is to alter the exterior or appearance. As previously stated, players will require the Modification Bench and Furniture Modification Kits acquired from Tish before interacting with the bench to access the UI.
Within the UI, they’ll view all the furniture within their Backpack Inventory, and selecting one of the pieces will allow them to change its color between Autumn, Berry, Calathea, Classic, and Shore. They can see how the altered Furniture piece will look with its new appearance; beneath it is the Modification Cost, which is how many kits are needed to apply the change.
This Modification Cost will differ depending on the Furniture piece and its size, and they can change the appearance of the modified item, which will cost the same amount of Modification Kits previously used. While they can revert the changes, they won't be refunded the kits spent when applying the modification to the furniture pieces.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
