With just a month before the 25th anniversary of the franchise, Niantic has announced the full schedule of events for February, with new raids, competitions, comebacks and surprises.

During the last days, the developers of Pokémon GO in Niantic have been announcing part of the special events that will be present in the coming weeks.

That is why a few hours ago, they have officially released all the events that will be active during each week, with Pokémon from all regions making their appearance and with great surprises on the way. Here we bring you all the details.

Featured Pokémon

To start the celebration, Snorlax will be appearing within the research achievements throughout the month of February, plus each week different Pokémon from various regions will be appearing more frequently in the wild, these being:

  • Ekans: On 2nd February, and players will earn twice the XP for evolving Pokémon.
  • Miltank: On 9th February, and players will earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • Luvdisc: On 16th February, and players will earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
  • Pikachu: On 23rd February, and players will earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.

All the featured Pokémon will appear from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, local time.

Weekly Legendary Raids

Additionally, certain Mythical and Legendary Pokémon will be appearing in five-star raids for a limited time:

Note: all times are local time.

  • Entei will be appearing in five-star raids from Tuesday, 16th January at 10 am to Sunday, 31st January at 10 am.
  • Raikou will be appearing in five-star raids from Sunday, 31st January at 10 am to Thursday, 4th February at 10 am.
  • Suicune will be appearing in five-star raids from Thursday, 4th February at 10 am to Tuesday, 9th February at 10 am.
  • Latias and Latios will be appearing in five-star raids from Tuesday, 9th February at 10 am to Saturday, 20th February at 9 am.
  • Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo will be appearing in five-star raids from Saturday, 20th February at 9 am to Monday, 1st March at 8 am.

In addition, the following Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids.

  • Mega Venusaur, Mega Ampharos, and Mega Houndoom will be appearing in Mega Raids from Tuesday, 19th January, through to Tuesday, 9th February at 10 am.
  • Mega Pidgeot, Mega Ampharos, and a surprise Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids from Tuesday, 9th February at 10 am through Saturday, 20th February at 9 am.
  • Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Blastoise will be appearing in Mega Raids from Saturday, 20th February through to Monday, 1st March. Each week in February will also include a Raid Hour event on Wednesdays at 6 pm featuring the Pokémon currently active in five-star raids.

Featured Events

Team GO Rocket Grunts will be appearing with previously unseen Shadow Pokémon on their teams. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Shadow Pokémon by defeating a Team GO Rocket Leader.

This event will run from Tuesday, 2nd February at 10 am. to Sunday, 7th February at 10 am.

Players can also join for the floral Community Day with Roselia, on Sunday, 7th February 11 am to 5 pm.

When evolving a Roselia during the event or up to two hours afterwards, players will be able to get a Roserade that knows both the Charged Attack Weather Ball (Fire-type) and the Fast Attack Bullet Seed.

Also, as with every year, the Lunar New Year event will be back. From Tuesday, 9th February to Sunday, 14th February players can encounter red Pokémon and celebrate the Year of the Ox.

A special Mega-Evolved Pokémon will also be appearing in Mega Raids for the first time at the start of this event! Stay tuned for more details.

From Monday, 8th February to Monday, 15th February anyone can compete in the Valentine’s Day-themed Love Cup in the GO Battle League. Teams have to use Pokémon that are red or pink and with a max CP of 1,500 to enter. Legendary or Mythical Pokémon are forbidden.

In addition to this, from Sunday, 14th February at 1 pm to Thursday, 18th February at 8 pm. Niantic will activate the annual Valentine’s Day event, with more details about it coming up soon.

Weekly 1 PokéCoin bundles

Finally, each week in February, a different 1 PokéCoin bundle will be featured in the shop:

  • From 1st February, a 1 PokéCoin bundle featuring the following items will be available: 20 Poké Balls, a Remote Raid Pass, and a Rocket Radar.
  • From 8th February, a 1 PokéCoin bundle featuring the following items will be available: eight Incense, 16 Razz Berries, and 10 Pinap Berries.
  • From 15th February, a 1 PokéCoin bundle featuring the following items will be available: a Remote Raid Pass, 20 Poké Balls, 10 Great Balls, and five Ultra Balls.
  • From 22nd February, a 1 PokéCoin bundle featuring the following items will be available: 20 Poké Balls, a Remote Raid Pass, and five Incense.
