The Xbox Game Pass membership has seen plenty of exciting games for players to own and play from day one, from first-party titles to third-party releases. Capcom has recently seen a handful of their games joining Game Pass, and with the launch of Street Fighter 6 approaching, some players would like to see it join other notable fighting games on this service.
If you’re an Xbox owner or have an Xbox Game Pass membership, you would be asking whether this latest fighting game release will join the current Game Pass library. We’ve explored whether Capcom will make Street Fighter 6 available for the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
Is Street Fighter 6 Available For Xbox Game Pass?
As it’s confirmed that Street Fighter 6 is getting an Xbox release for Xbox Series X|S consoles, it won’t be available to those who own an Xbox One console. Naturally, many have wondered whether Capcom will be making the latest entry in the Street Fighter franchise available through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, and the answer is unknown.
As of writing, Capcom has yet to release a statement or confirm if the game will be made available for players to get through Game Pass. While this subscription is also available for Windows PCs, should it be available on Game Pass, players could get their physical or digital copy for either Xbox Series X|S console or Windows PC.
It’s unclear at this juncture if Capcom will make the jump and bring Street Fighter 6 to Game Pass; it could likely be the first Street Fighter game made available for this subscription service. Past Capcom games have been making their journey to Game Pass in recent years, like Monster Hunter: Rise and the upcoming release, Exoprimal; there may be a chance for Street Fighter 6 to join the existing Game Pass catalog for either console and PC.
However, if not, Capcom will likely make the game available for the PlayStation Plus service instead. While it’s confirmed that Street Fighter 6 is crossplay and cross-platform enabled, you can participate in online matches at the Fighting Ground and meet up with friends and new players at the Battle Hub.
It remains unclear if cross-generation support is enabled for PlayStation consoles, but crossplay and cross-platform support are confirmed for now. Ahead of its global release on 8th June 2023, you can register your Capcom ID and link it to your PSN, Xbox, or Steam account to join the final Open Beta weekend between 19th and 22nd May 2023.
