Riot Changes Valorant Game Changers EMEA 2023 Format

Riot shares vision and new format for VCT Game Changers EMEA 2023. Here are the complete details.
Riot Changes Valorant Game Changers EMEA 2023 Format

After the successful Valorant Game Changers Championship 2022, where G2 Gozen lifted the trophy by pulling off a historical reverse sweep against Shopify Rebellion, Riot is now looking to make the ecosystem even better in 2023. They have split the Game Changers circuit into various levels that will suit a variety of skill types and levels.

Starting in 2023, VCT Game Changers EMEA: Emergents will be introduced to give "budding Radiants a chance to shine" in a Discord community that will feature leaderboards and rewards and will be a hub for all the Game Changers EMEA news and updates. In addition, VCT Game Changers EMEA: Academy has been announced to provide educational content from various influencers and competitive players to help the community learn about different career paths in the Valorant ecosystem.

Now, coming to the competitive scene, Riot will organize various regional events that will begin with open qualifiers giving everyone an equal chance to qualify for the VCT Game Changers EMEA: Contenders event, where the teams will fight for their spot in the main league VCT Game Changers EMEA.

VCT Game Changers EMEA will feature a total of 16 teams, the top four being last year's top performers, and the rest will qualify from VCT Game Changers EMEA: Contenders. These 16 teams will then battle for a spot in the ultimate stage, Valorant Game Changers Championship.

The official announcement states, "The new circuit is designed to be the ideal pathway to pro play for those in the Game Changers community — a space where players can hone their skills, become the best, and make their way into the larger VCT ecosystem and, quite literally, change the game," the official announcement reads.

We don't know if there will be a similar format change for North America and other regions as well or not, but we will update you if anything is announced regarding this.
