The Minecraft YouTube community lost a beloved and well-known face, Technoblade, on 30th June 2022.
Technoblade, whose real-life name is Alex Grayspight, passed away today after losing his battle with cancer. This is a challenging time for the YouTuber's family and community.

Minecraft Youtuber Techoblade dies - leaves message for fans
Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade, known for his involvement in Minecraft Championships and Dream SMP, passed away on 30th June after a fight with cancer at age 23.
The YouTuber was known for his humor and for his skill in PvP, placing near the top in several Minecraft championships.

The content creator posted about his illness last year, giving fans details about his cancer diagnosis on his YouTube channel. On 27 August 2021, after a sudden lengthy hiatus, Technoblade let fans know he had been diagnosed with sarcoma.
Technoblade let fans know the news of his passing with a final video, titled "so long nerds" posted to his YouTube by his father on 30th June. The YouTuber planned for the video to be posted to his channel before his death.
The six-and-a-half-minute video features his father talking in remembrance of the creator, as well as reading the YouTuber's final letter to fans and the community.
A special Technoblade merchandise store run by Technoblade's family was released immediately after the YouTuber's death. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Sarcoma Foundation of America to help others who suffered from Technoblade's illness. The rest of the proceeds will help support the YouTuber's family after his passing.
"We know how much joy [Technoblade] has spread over the years and we want to make sure we continue spreading his message," the merchandise site reads. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
