COD: Mobile Sniper tier list - Every Sniper and Marksman Rifle ranked from best to worst for Season 5

COD: Mobile Season 5 has arrived and it comes with a slew of new content, including three new mapstwo game modes, and a brand new Battle Pass full of shiny new items to unlock, including operators, camos, scorestreaks, and more.

And as with every new season, there is a new meta as well, as the developers introduce a number of balance changes and new weapons to shake things up.

When it comes to balancing changes, the focus of the Season 5 update was mostly on the SMG class, with nerfs to the PP19 Bizon, QXR, and AGR 556, but one of the most powerful snipers in the game has been nerfed as well.

We are, of course, talking about the Locus. The weapon received a single, but rather significant nerf: firing time is now increased while using OWC Skeleton Stock. How will this change affect the sniper meta in COD: Mobile Season 5? Let's find out.

COD: Mobile Season 5 Sniper/Marksman Rifle tier list

There's a total of four marksman rifles and seven sniper rifles in COD: Mobile Season 5,

Season 4 added the MK2 Carbine while Season 2 introduced the SP-R 208 sniper rifle, and this update added only one new weapon at the start of the season, the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle.

Please note that this tier list is accurate at the launch of COD: Mobile Season 5.

Description of the tiers

We have opted for a standard five-tier system, S to D.

S-Tier: The absolute best Snipers in COD: Mobile Season 5.

A-Tier: With a great loadout these Sniper/Marksman Rifles could go toe-to-toe against the S-Tier.

B-Tier: These Sniper/Marksman Rifles are very capable with a great loadout.

C-Tier: This Sniper/Marksman Rifle tier requires you to run a perfect loadout.

D-Tier: The trash tier. You would be much better off using one of the other guns on this list.

Tier lists are not an exact science. However, this list does give you a good idea of the power rankings when it comes to Sniper and Marksman Rifles at the start of COD: Mobile Season 5, based on our testing, new weapons, and balance changes.

CODM Sniper/Marksman Rifles ranked from best to worst

Below, you will see all the sniper and marksman Rifles in COD: Mobile Season 5 ranked from best to worst below. We start off with the S-tier long-range weapons that can put your opponents down with ease.

S-Tier Snipers:

  • SP-R 208
  • MK2 Carbine
  • DL Q33

These are the absolute best Sniper/Marksman Rifles currently available in the game. The SP-R 208 remains untouched by the balance changes in Season 5 and it deserves to be moved up to the S-Tier of our list, as one of the most powerful and reliable snipers in COD: Mobile Season 5.

A-Tier Snipers

  • Locus
  • SKS
  • Kilo Bolt-Action

"Great but not the best" is a simple way to describe A-Tier snipers. You will not make a mistake by choosing any of these guns, especially if they fit your desired playstyle.

The biggest change here is the Locus, falling down from the S-Tier, due to the most recent nerf we've discussed above.

B-Tier Snipers

  • XPR-50
  • M21 EBR

Both the XPR-50 and the M21 EBR are solid weapons, but it will require some work to unlock their full potential. With a proper loadout and in the right hands, they can be as deadly as A-Tier weapons.

C-Tier Snipers

  • Arctic .50

Despite having the highest mobility in its class, the Arctic.50 disappoints on a number of other fields and it simply isn't a good choice in the current COD: Mobile meta.

D-Tier Snipers

  • Outlaw
  • NA-45

Unfortunately, we don't have a single nice word to say about these two guns. Try to avoid them and wait for developers to introduce some buffs for them before even trying them.

And with that, we are done with our tier list. These are all the sniper and marksman rifles ranked from best to worst at the start of COD: Mobile Season 5.
