Destiny 2: How to get the Cloudstrike exotic sniper rifle

Destiny 2 fans have certainly enjoyed their time with the game over the weekend, as a new raid, the Deep Stone Crypt, is now available, bringing tons of content even for the non-raiders that own the Beyond Light expansion.

One of the new pieces of gear players will want to get their hands on is the Cloudstrike exotic sniper rifle, as the means to unlock it are now at the disposal of Destiny 2 fans.

Let's not beat around the bush and let's get down to it. 

How to get the Cloudstrike exotic sniper

First up, you'll need to gain access to elect Empire Hunts, which can be earned by completing Variks' Sabotages.

Before you can start grinding the Sabotages required, you need to complete the A Hard Rain Falls quest, it's a simple quest, but head out to our quick guide if you have some doubts regarding the Eclipsed Zones.

After this, Variks will have new Sabotages, power through the European Explorer I and II ones and you'll be able to play elect Empire Hunts.

If you haven't done it already, we recommend you do some Sabotages that will reward you with more efficient ways to get Heralways Pieces or ones that make Empire Hunts cheaper to aid in your grind. 

Once you do this, elect Empire hunts are yours for the taking.

There are four difficulties in total:

• Adept: 1180PL
• Hero: 1220PL
• Master: 1250PL
• Legend: 1280PL

All of them will have the Cloudstrike drop as Rare, so don't worry about getting your Power Level super high.

• Mortal Polarity: Precision final blows generate a lightning bolt at the target's location.
• Stormbringer: Rapid precision hits create a lightning storm at the point of impact.
