Fortnite Season 6 Week 5 challenges: How to complete and modify vehicles

Here's how you can complete the Fortnite Season 6 Week 5 challenges, including how to modify vehicles with off-road tires.
As with every other week in Fortnite, there are several new challenges to complete this week. These challenges/quests will help you level up your Battle Pass, and if you plan to get to max level, we recommend jumping on these challenges as soon as they are available. Take a look at all the Fortnite Season 6 Week 5 challenges in this article, as well as an explainer of how to complete them.

Fortnite S6 Week 5 challenges: How to complete

There's a total of seven regular challenges to complete in Fortnite Season 6 Week 5, and a legendary challenge to complete as well.

Each regular Fortnite Week 5 challenge will net you 24,000 XP towards levelling up your Battle Pass while completing all the stages of the Legendary Challenge will get you well over 100,000 XP.

The Fortnite Season 6 Week 5 challenges are:

  • Deal damage with SMGs (1000)
  • Search ammo boxes (5)
  • Use a campfire (1)
  • Modify vehicles with off-road tires (3)
  • Drive from Sweaty Sands to Colossal Crops without leaving the vehicle (1)
  • Maintain a speed of 65 or greater for 4 seconds in a vehicle (1)
  • Get 2 seconds of airtime in a vehicle (2)

The Fortnite Season 6 Legendary challenge is:

  • Collect Gold Bars (1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000)

Many of these Fortnite Season 6 Week 5 challenges are very self-explanatory, from searching ammo boxes to dealing damage with SMGs, using a campfire and more. Gold Bars can, of course, be collected by completing NPC quests, killing enemies, and several other actions you should probably do each game.

If you haven't played the game since before the v16.20 update hit, you can learn how to modify vehicles with off-road tires in our dedicated guide.

To maintain a speed of 65 or greater for 4 seconds, we recommend using a light vehicle such as a car and drive downhill (without the off-road tires). Map markers for the Sweaty Sands to Colossal Crops challenge, which makes this one very easy.

Lastly, to get 2 seconds of airtime in a vehicle, you can build your own ramp, then get into a car and use the ramp to propel yourself into the air.

The Fortnite Season 6 Week 5 challenges begin on 15th April at 15:00 GMT, and with the information in this guide, you should have no problem completing them all. The Legendary Challenge might just take some grinding to complete.
