How To Play Fortnite Zero Build Horde Rush Mode

New game modes are coming to Fortnite's Halloween-themed Fortnitmares event, and one of them is the all-new Zero Build Horde Rush mode that combines Zero BUild with some Spooky Halloween content. If you're curious to know more about this mode then keep reading.

Below we will be walking you through everything you need to know to play and succeed when playing the all-new Fortnitemares Zer Build Horde Rush mode. 

Fortnite - Zero Build Horde Rush Mode

Horde Rush is a limited-time mode that debuted during Season 9. It is a cooperative mode that forces players to work together to defeat hordes of monsters, collect score multipliers, earn combos, survive in various locations, and defeat the Final Boss

Zero Build Horde Rush is a first, however, as it now requires players to perform all the above-mentioned tasks, but without building at all. This model is marketed as being a more challenging version of the original Horde Rush and based on the rules of the game, it doesn't appear to be an exaggeration. 

There is a slew of restrictions associated with the event as well. Players, have 150 seconds to loot the area and must follow the storm to a new location each time the encounter ends. And, as you might expect, the difficulty, as well as the number of monsters, increases with each round.

Because Horde Rush is such a thrilling game mode that has become synonymous with Fortnite, it will be interesting to see how Epic Games approached balancing this survival mode with the limitations of Zero Build. But luckily you'll have lots of time to try this new mode out with your friends and see for yourself.

Horde Rush Zero Build is featured on the Discover screen until well after Fortnitemares ends on the November 15, when downtime for v22.40 begins. That means players will have until well after Fortnitemares ends to try out this new and challenging mode for themselves.

Last but not least, players should keep their eyes peeled for Horde Rush Quests that will appear randomly. These will net you some special rewards which we reckon can either be special Halloween-themed rewards or just rare items to claim before the mode is removed from the game.
