In God of War Ragnarok, you will spend a lot of time scrounging for valuable resources to improve Kratos' arsenal of weapons and armor. As the game progresses, you will encounter more challenging enemies and bosses, and you might find yourself at a disadvantage if you haven't been upgrading your gear.

One of the mid-game resources you will need to upgrade Kratos' weapon attachments is Stonewood. As such, to help you, here's our guide explaining where to find Stonewood in God of War Ragnarok. 

How to get Stonewood in God of War Ragnarok

You will find Stonewood inside red chests, coffins, and other destructible objects scattered in the nine realms. They usually start dropping once you are midway through the story.
 As such, we recommend checking every nook and cranny of all the explorable spaces to get an adequate amount of this valuable resource. 

Buried treasures are also a great source of Stonewood in God of War Ragnarok. These are the glowing objects on the ground. You can find Buried Treasures with the help of Treasure Maps, so if you happen to find one, examine the hints within to find the Buried Treasure associated with it. 

Weapon attachments provide various passive buffs and are essential for crafting the build of your choice. As such, we recommend keeping an eye out for Stonewood, especially when you're 10-15 hours into the game.
