Eager to share her latest theories and discoveries, Elouisa promptly calls on players to meet up with her on her latest project: Catching a Flothinger.

Catching a Flothinger is a Discovery quest players can receive after speaking with Elouisa at any time of the day. Excited at their presence, she reveals they arrived on time for yet another discovery as she had been struggling to catch a Flothinger for months.

As Elouisa explains what type of creature a Flothinger is, players have been tasked to assist her in successfully catching a Flothinger to complete her "work." We'll be going through all the objectives required to help Elouisa catch a Flothinger in this Discovery quest:

How To Complete The Catching A Flothinger Discovery Quest In Palia?

Elouisa has been working on a few projects, which see her conducting research in the open-world environment of Kilima Village. One such project involves a mythical creature called a Flothinger, and players can trigger this related quest by speaking to her.

After she asks the players for assistance in catching the fabled Flothinger, she'll hand them a constructed Flothing trap, which they must place carefully near the ruins of the Daiya Family Farm. The ruins in question are the Night Sky Temple, which is north of the family farm, as they must place it at the marked location near its entrance.

Once the trap is set, return to Elouisa and inform her of the placed trap; she promises to keep in contact once the trap is triggered. This completes the Catching a Flothinger Discovery quest, in which players can receive 15 Renown and five Smoke Candles and raise their Friendship level with her.

She'll forward players two letters post-quest, one detailing her unsuccessful attempt at catching the Flothinger; however, it caught Auni in the trap, angering Delaila. Players are prompted to make amends with Delaila regarding the situation, to which Elouisa mails them a second letter on a new creature, the Tuffwoggle, to which she sends five Wild Garlic to keep them at bay.
