As Palians have tied up loose ends in Kilima Village, only to unravel more unanswered questions, the quest to learn more about a mysterious "Tap" leads them into uncharted territory, The Elderwood. This new Adventure Zone is shrouded in more than just mystery; there's something strange occurring in this area that no one can quite put their finger on.

Additionally, a familiar face appears in this new location who needs help to track a resident who disappeared with a faint trace that even Subira can't track. Nevertheless, this guide looks into The Elderwood quest by listing the objectives to follow and a walkthrough to help Palians complete The Elderwood quest in Palia.

Palia The Elderwood Quest Objectives List

After discovering some interesting details through protocols, messages, and user logs contained inside the console at the Temple of the Cosmos, one detail revealed that The Elderwood Tap is active. After consulting with Subira, she has no information or knowledge about what this could mean; however, it's a lead that needs to be investigated.

As such, Subira tasks the Player to follow this lead by heading to the mysterious Elderwood area and learn more about this "Tap," but a whole new adventure awaits them. To assist Palians in their journey to The Elderwood, we've provided the objectives to help them complete this quest for Palia:

  • Enter the Elderwood through the gate in Northern Bahari
  • See what Nai'o is doing here
  • Meet Nai'o by the Elderwood Stables
  • Look for the lost boy in the spots Nai'o marked (3/3)
  • Meet Nai'o back at the Elderwood Stables

How To Complete The Elderwood Quest In Palia?

Following the conclusion of the Answering the Call quest, Subira sends Palians to locate a gate that connects Bahari Bay to the Elderwood, which can be found in The Outskirts, between the gate to the Housing Plot and Tamala's home in northern Bahari Bay. After passing through the gate, they'll arrive in the magical forest of The Elderwood, but a familiar face happens to be here, Nai'o, with whom they can speak to find out his reasons for being there.

They'll learn that he's locating a young boy whom he first met months ago, and in the months that follow, he had left food for the young boy when they met at their spot by the Elderwood Stables. However, he's not at their usual spot, and Nai'o grows concerned about the boy's safety. he asks to find him at the marked spots on the map, and they can proceed to search these spots for any leads or clues to the boy's location.

The Elderwood features unique platforming sections that focus on verticality, which they'll need to have a Glider for easy traversal, as some of these spots are quite high up from the forest ground. The first location is south of the Elderwood Stables, in the Deep Woods, where, along the path, look up and to the right near a stone archway for a set of Flow-glowing mushrooms, where the first search spot is found, and interacting with it provides no sign of the missing boy.

The next marked location is west of the abovementioned location, going through the Red Blossom Cave to reach the Okanaa Bog, where they must fend themselves against a new huntable creature, the Ogopuu. They can avoid them by heading towards De Mer Dock, where they can locate another Stable board to unlock for fast travel and head slightly north across the dock to reach the second search spot, and still no sign of the missing boy.

The final location is east of the docks and through the bog side entrance to the Red Blossom Cave, where they must walk through the shallow waters to reach a clearing where a campsite is the final search spot, and no missing boy in sight. They can climb up the tree roots to reach a tunnel and return to the Elderwood Stables to meet up with Nai'o by following the route through the cave system to reach the Deep Woods and back to Central Stables.

With all three marked spots with no signs of the missing boy and making their way safely to the Elderwood Stables, they can provide an update to Nai'o on their unsuccessful search by selecting the appropriate dialogue options. On the suggestion of asking Subira for assistance, she appears by the Elderwood Stables, where Nai'o can inform Subira about the missing boy before handing her an Acorn, which she uses to reveal a Flow trace.

While she was unsuccessful in determining a Flow trace, she does learn that the missing boy is safe; however, his location is unknown, and Subira promises Nai'o that they'll look into the matter as part of their investigations. As a thanks for their help, he hands over an object, which they can ask around for more information as this completes The Elderwood quest, which awards them with 25 Renown and the next two quests, The Nature of Shadows and Pieces of the Past, for them to complete.
