Wild Rift Kennen build guide: Best runes, spells, items, tips and more

League of Legends: Wild Rift is now onto v2.0 and Season 1 of the competitive calendar is just about to start. So it is time to get serious, we have been breaking down each champion showing you how to get the most out of each.

With the arrival of the new patch, a select group of champions will make their debut at the Wild Rift, arriving directly from Bandle City: the Yordles.

Continuing our journey, we will talk about one of the most versatile and powerful selections for the Baron Lane, being one of the main selections to face even the tankiest enemies: Kennen, the Heart of the Tempest.

Kennen: His active and passive skills

His passive ability, Mark of the Storm, allows Kennen to stun the enemies he hits 3 times with his abilities, having great crowd control effects in both individual and team fights.

Let's move on to his active skills:

• Thundering Shuriken: Hurls a swift shuriken into a point, dealing damage and adding a Mark of the Storm to all opponents it hits.
• Electrical Surge: Passively, it allows you to deal bonus damage and add a Mark of the Storm to a target every few attacks. When activated, it damages and adds another Mark of the Storm to targets that are already marked.
• Lightning Rush: Kennen takes the form of lightning, allowing him to pierce units and apply a Mark of the Storm to them, as well as temporarily granting movement and attack speed.
• Ultimate - Slicing Maelstrom: When activated, summons a storm that hits nearby enemy champions dealing magic damage.

Recommended Runes and Spells for Kennen

Kennen has been one of the most played champions in League of Legends thanks to his high impact attacks, his combos with easy immobilizations and his great area control at any point of the game. These are his recommended runes:

• Electrocute: Triggers on successful skill combos and trades, dealing bonus damage to affected enemies and increasing her burst damage.
• Gathering Storm: Increases overall damage over time.
• Spirit Walker: Grants bonus health and increased slow resistance.
• Hunter - Genius: Grants additional cooldown reduction for each unique takedown.

• Infinity Orb: Grants movement speed, magic penetration, and bonus damage against low-health targets.
• Gluttonous Greaves: Grants omnivampirism, giving you a better chance of surviving in fights. We recommend using them with Stasis enchant, to make you invulnerable with its effect when you activate his Slicing Maelstrom.
• Morellonomicon: Grants magic penetration, while also applies Grievous Wounds to enemy champions for 3 seconds when you attack them.
• Liandry's Torment: Being in combat with enemy champions generates one stack every second for the next 4 seconds, dealing extra damage for each stack. Also, this allows you to do more damage based on your enemies’ health, doubling it if they are slowed or immobilized.
• Rabadon's Deathcap: Dramatically increases ability power by 40%.
• Void Staff: Similar to the previous one, increases magic penetration by 40%.

Kennen stands out for being a somewhat particular champion, since both his composition in general and the abilities he has are better known, being a champion whose main objective is to harass and unbalance enemies, in addition to opening opportunities to allies to finish with every single one of them.

His passive, Mark of the Storm, makes him a dangerous enemy from the beginning of any game, allowing him to be able to immobilize any enemy without wasting anything, making him an opponent not very susceptible to fight through an ambush from the jungle, given his great area damage done just by being close to him.
