The update 1.7 of Genshin Impact "The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia" is about to arrive, bringing with it tons of new features to the game such as the debut of the Inazuma region, as well as a lot of content like weapons and banners, and most importantly, new characters.
The first of these presented during the special showcase of the 2.0 version will be one of the main characters of the Inazuma region, known for the people of this nation as the Princess thanks to her high moral, modesty and courteousness, in addition to her good sense of propriety and kind heart.
It’s finally time to introduce you to the Master of Inazuma Kamisato Art Tachi Jutsu, the Frostflake Heron, Kamisato Ayaka.
Kamisato Ayaka - Backstory and origins
The story of Ayaka is one about nobility, as she is the daughter of the Yashiro Commission's Kamisato Clan, one of the most respected and prestigious clans in Inazuma City. She is one of the two heirs of her clan, together with her elder brother, Ayato.
As the Yashiro Commission is in charge of the ceremonial and cultural affairs of the Inazuma’s Tri-Commission, she and her brother have taken all responsibility within the clan as Ayaka takes care of its internal and external affairs, while Ayato serves as the head of the clan, being in charge of the government business.
Besides her noble role, Ayaka often appears at social occasions which has made her have a higher reputation than her brother, making people adore her for her affection to the arts, as well as her peaceful spirit and considerate way of being.
All this has earned her the title of Shirasagi Himegimi, an elegant noble title with great meaning for all the people of Inazuma, who usually interact and enjoy Ayaka's company at any time.
Kamisato Ayaka - Talents
Her normal attack, Kamisato Art: Kabuki, allows Ayaka to perform up to five consecutive strikes, while with her charged attack, she can consume Stamina to unleash a flurry of sword ki.
With her Elemental Skill, Kamisato Art: Hyouka, Ayaka can summon an explosion of blooming ice around her that launches all nearby enemies into the air while dealing them Cryo DMG.
Ayaka will be the second character in the game to feature an Alternate Sprint, a talent that replaces the normal sprinting of a character. In this case, she can use the Kamisato Art: Senho to consume Stamina and cloak herself in a frozen fog that moves with her.
After reappearing, Ayaka can either unleash frigid Energy to apply Cryo DMG to nearby enemies or infuse her blade with Cryo for a brief period.
Finally with her Elemental Burst, Kamisato Art: Soumetsu, Ayaka will summon forth a snowstorm with flawless poise known as the Frostflake Senki no To.
The Frostflake Senki no To will move forward and slash repeatedly at every enemy it touches, dealing Cryo DMG. After its duration ends, the snowstorm will explode, causing additional damage around its AoE.
Kamisato Ayaka - Best weapons
Starting with the best 5-star weapon for her, the arrival of Ayaka will bring into the game her signature sword known as the Mistsplitter Reforged, a powerful katana infused with Electro energy that drastically enhances her Elemental power.
This new weapon is part of the Inazuma Series, blazing a fierce violet light providing great versatility and a fantastic option to create devastating Elemental Reactions.
While wielding the Mistsplitter Reforged, Ayaka will gain a 12/15/18/21/24% Elemental DMG Bonus for every element and receive the might of Mistsplitter's Seal. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Mistsplitter's Seal will provide an Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. Stacks can be gained through Normal Attacks dealing Elemental DMG, casting an Elemental Burst, or having less than 100% Energy.
If you are looking to use her mostly as a Support, this celestial weapon is one of the best for any character that depends a lot on their elemental abilities, being based on the power of Stormterror.
The Skyward Blade increases the CRIT Rate by 4/5/6/7/8%, however its greatest benefit comes from using your Elemental Burst, since doing so this sword will grant you 10% Movement SPD and ATK SPD, in addition to increasing the damage of normal and charged attacks based on 20% of your current ATK.
Primordial Jade Cutter
Among the most recommended weapons, the next one that stands out is the Primordial Jade Cutter, a 5-star sword that although not refined to the max, grants more power with each hit based on your HP stats, something that absolutely benefits Ayaka's DPS level.
Its passive, Protector's Virtue, increases the HP of its wielder by 20/25/30/35/40%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2/1.5/1.8/2.1/2.4% of the wielder's Max HP.
Additionally, the Primordial Jade Cutter is the only five-star weapon that starts off with and scales with 44 Base ATK. However, it scales lower between levels than 44 Base ATK four-star weapons.
The Black Sword
As another good option, this malicious, bloodthirsty weapon lets you take down any enemy around you without using your elemental abilities, thanks to its excellent offensive and regeneration bonuses.
To begin, this sword increases the power of your normal and charged attacks by 20%, while you can also recover 60% of your current ATK in HP, when making a critical hit. This effect can only be activated every 5 seconds.
Kamisato Ayaka - Best artifacts and stats
As the main choice for her artifacts, we will recommend the Blizzard Strayer set, a series of artifacts introduced during the addition of the Dragonspine Mountain, as it will considerably increase the power of your Elemental skills by giving you a 15% Cryo DMG Bonus.
If you manage to get four pieces of this set, when Ayaka attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, her CRIT Rate will be increased by 20%. If the opponent is Frozen, CRIT Rate will be increased by an additional 20%.
If you don’t have all pieces of it, you can combine it with the Gladiator's Finale set, which likewise increases your ATK by 18%.
As a second option, you can carry one of the latest introductions in update 2.0, the Shimenawa's Reminiscence set, as it will power up your ATK by 18% when having 2 pieces of it.
With four pieces, whenever you cast an Elemental Skill, if the wielder has 15 or more Energy, they will lose 15 energy and Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG will be increased by 50% for ten seconds.
As for the statistics, these will be focused on exploiting her offensive capabilities, while also giving her more HP for its synergy with the recommended weapons, and increase her survival windows:
- Cryo DMG Bonus
- CRIT Rate
- CRIT DMG
- Elemental Mastery
- Energy Recharge
Recommended team for Kamisato Ayaka
Kamisato Ayaka has a wide variety of options, as she can be used both as a DPS dealer and as a support character, making her a versatile Sword character with different fighting styles and approaches.
In order to take advantage of her skills and the Elemental Reactions you can create, we recommend pairing her along with the teammates listed below:
- Diona (Cryo), Kaeya (Cryo) or Rosaria (Cryo): These can be of great support by helping you increase Ayaka’s CRITs and Energy using Rosaria and Kaeya, and in the case of Diona, receive healings, shields and bonus Elemental Mastery.
- Xingqiu (Hydro) or Barbara (Hydro): Having a Hydro character is more than important, as Ayaka’s Cryo affinity combined with their skills can create a permafrost state in which enemies will fall at your feet.
- To complete your party, we suggest using any Anemo character (with a bigger preference to 5-stars like Venti or Kazuha), as their abilities can create Cryo buffs, crowd control, and tons of Elemental Reactions.
And that’s all we gotta share with you about Ayaka. Remember, she will only be available from 21st July to 10th August in her own banner “The Heron’s Court”, so try to save as many Primogems as you can.
