How to start Lost Ark Kadan story episode and requirements

Lost Ark's March content update introduces a host of new game content; however, its most prominent addition is the introduction of the first Guardian slayer, Kadan. The character has been referenced throughout the game's lore due to his affiliation with the Sidereals.

Players must find the Guardian slayer somewhere in Arkesia, who could provide you with clues and answers to seek out the final Ark. Here's what you need to know about Kadan's story episode, including how to unlock it and the requirements to complete it in Lost Ark.

Kadan's story episode requirements in Lost Ark

Detailed in the March Update patch notes on 9th March 2022, players can experience Kadan's cinematic story episode by completing quests and exploring new islands to locate the Guardian slayer. Smilegate outlined several requirements you'll meet to unlock Kadan's story episode in Lost Ark.

The story episode requirements are the following:

• Must be a Level 50 and higher
• Have completed the Feiton questline
• Finished the "Yorn - Let There Be Light", "Whispering Islet - Start of Our Story", and "Illusion Bamboo Island - End of the Trials" quests

Players have experienced issues completing these quests, particularly the "Start of Our Story" quest on Whispering Islet. The quest requires you to build a rapport with Nineveh to complete the quest.

The better rapport you build with Nineveh, the better the rewards, including the Whispering Islet Island Token, will be.

Furthermore, the developer noted an item level requirement to progress through the new content. The item level required to begin the story episode is 1100, allowing you to explore the Isteri and Bamboo Islands and complete their quests.

How to start Kadan's story episode in Lost Ark?

Once players have met these requirements, they can begin Kadan's story episode, "The Quest For Kadan", at Vern Castle, North Vern. Kadan plays a critical role in the pursuit to find the final Ark as you'll also uncover more insight into the Sidereals.

Once you have arrived in North Vern, locate Vern Castle to begin Kadan's story episode. The story episode features new cinematics that will help players learn more about the Guardian slayer and his role in locating the main storyline.

Smilegate's introduction of Kadan is the first of many major content updates since Lost Ark's Western release. However, the plethora of new content, bug fixes and endgame activities show that there's plenty more coming soon.
