How To Complete The Whale Of A Tale Found Item Quest In Palia?
After discovering a mysterious-looking bone inside a Treasure Chest while fishing in Bahari Bay, this will trigger the No Bones About It Found Item quest, Whale of a Tale. After examining it, they must take the bone fragment to Jina, who completes the quest and begins the following quest, Whale of a Tale.
Jina tasked players with collecting more bone fragments in Bahari Bay, which can be achieved when fishing in the oceans along the Bahari Bay coast. There are four bone fragments in total, with players having to find three more at any of these locations: Coral Shores, Lighthouse Lagoon, and Beachcomber Cove.
These bone fragments are inside Treasure Chests, which will be added immediately to players’ Inventory until all four bone fragments have been collected. Remember that each time a bone fragment has been discovered, they must return to Jina to give her the fragment to unlock the next quest objective, which may prevent layers from finding all bone fragments.
We recommend utilizing the Fast Travel Stable Boards to travel between Bahari Bay and Jina’s location at Mirror Pond Ruins to make this less tedious. Each time they deliver a bone fragment to Jina, she’ll give her analysis of what the bone fragment could be as she states that these fragments will be sent to a colleague who specializes in marine biology.
Once the final bone fragment has been given to Jina, she’ll thank players for this endeavor as she sends them to her colleague and completes the quest, awarding them 25 Renown. Jina will forward them a letter post-quest on the feedback from her colleague, which is still being investigated, and they’ll receive a Sketch of a Whale as another reward for this quest.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
