However, this fearsome foe is a nightmare to bring down, requiring great skill and power to survive in battle. That's where this guide comes in, detailing Gorecrusher the Behemoth's location and the best strategy to defeat him. We'll also explain all the rewards, including the Wisp Dance ability. V Rising: Gorecrusher The Behemoth Location

To find Gorecrusher the Behemoth, you must travel to the Cursed Forest. Upon entering the area, you will unlock a Vampire Waygate allowing you to Fast Travel whenever required. From there, head east to the Lair of the Behemoth, where Gorecrusher the Behemoth awaits you.

Be wary, though. The Cursed Forest has many powerful enemies, including Werewolves and Witches wandering its roads and hiding behind its trees. In addition, the Level 76 boss, Nightmarshal Styx the Sunderer, also lurks on these roads. So be vigilant, bringing allies where possible to assist you with each attempt.

V Rising: How To Beat Gorecrusher The Behemoth

Gorecrusher the Behemoth is a Level 78 boss; therefore, we suggest having a Gear Score of at least 76+ when attempting him for the first time. However, you preferably want to have a Level 80 Gear Score for the best chances of defeating him. Gorecrusher the Behemoth is primarily a melee fighter (at least at the start of the fight). He will lumber towards you, attempting a 3-hit combo or an overhead smash, both of which are devastating.

Avoiding damage is key to your success. If he hits you with the combo, Gorecrusher can stun you, allowing consecutive blows to land shortly after that. Also, when you get hit by his AOE ground smash after he jumps, it applies a slow, making it much easier for his next attack to land. To survive this early stage of the fight, we recommend using Veil of Chaos as your movement ability as it allows you to jump twice, which is enough to avoid his 3-hit combo and follow-up jump attack.

For dealing damage to Gorecrusher the Behemoth in V Rising, we recommend using a Crossbow of Merciless Iron rarity or greater (although you probably want Dark Silver or Sanguine rarity) coupled with Rogue Blood Type 40% or higher. This build will allow you to deal damage at a safe distance while landing critical hits in fast succession. A Brute Blood Type of 50% or higher is also excellent, as it will allow you to recover any damage over time through gradual hits from the Crossbow.

For offensive spells against Gorecrusher the Behemoth, we recommend Spectral Assassin, as it can be cast a long-range and summons a unit to attack for you that will hit for 140% magic damage. The main purpose of the spell is to reduce Gorecrusher the Behemoth’s damage output by 30% for 5 seconds allowing you or your teammates a bit more breathing room for mistakes as they are less punishing.

If you have survived this long, Gorecrusher The Behemoth will eventually enter Phase 2 of the battle. At this stage, most players will probably die or give up. In particular, the boss will remain stationary briefly before summoning Spectral Wolves and Spectral Bears to fight for him. Each summon is very powerful and has its own move set. For example, the wolves won't just attack you in melee range but charge at you. On the other hand, the bears will initiate a slam AOE attack on the ground, dealing big damage and slowing you.

But that's not all. After attempting to fight off the bears and wolves, Gorecrusher the Behemoth will become animated again and join the fray to fight alongside his loyal companions. To survive this, you will need the Heartstrike Ultimate (reward for killing Willfred the Werewolf Chief), as it allows you to dash forward in a long line, damaging foes and healing yourself for a percentage of the damage. The trick here is to attempt to kill the summons as fast as possible before Gorecrusher the Behemoth rejoins the fight.

V Rising: Gorecrusher The Behemoth Rewards

Wisp Dance

The rewards for defeating Gorecrusher the Behemoth are two-fold. Firstly, you will unlock the new ability: Wisp Dance, which you can use for defense and offense simultaneously. When used, three wisps will circle you, acting as a deterrent and dealing 25% magic damage per wisp to enemies that get too close. For offense, recast the ability to launch all three wisps at a target location. After doing this, the damage of each wisp doubles to 50%. Wisp Dance also applies the magic debuff Weakened, reducing the enemy's damage output by 30% for 5 seconds after being hit.

Soul Shard of the Behemoth

The greatest reward for defeating Gorecrusher the Behemoth the Soul Shard of the Behemoth. When he drops this item, you or a teammate must pick it up and return it to your castle. You cannot transform, mount a horse, or teleport with the shard. You can only use your two spells to defend yourself and the travel ability to reach your base faster. Be warned, as any other team that has an Eye of Twilight will be able to see you moving with the Soul Shard across the map. That said, we recommend having allies to protect you during the journey. Once safely at the base, look for a suitable location to place the shard, and then you can harness its power by interacting with the structure.

Once placed, you and all allies in your clan can harness the power of the Soul Shard by walking up to it and holding F. This will apply a positive buff to your character for 2 hours! The buff includes +50 Garlic and Holy Resistance, +5% movement speed, and +20% resource yield, which will stack with Worker Blood. Of course, you must defend these Shards on PVP servers, as your base will likely be subject to frequent raids.
