What is Forespoken's storyline?
In Forspoken, you play Frey Holland, a young woman from New York who is mysteriously teleported to the fantastical world of Athia.

As it turns out, Frey has magical abilities in Athia, which she must use to traverse the gigantic war-torn open world and fight monsters and enemy factions - the Tantas, all while trying to find the way back home.
Forespoken: Gameplay
Forspoken features a massive open-world playground for players to get lost in. Traversal is crucial to the gameplay as Frey can magically parkour over gruelling landscapes with ease.
She can also conjure a magical skateboard to cover long distances gleefully. Forspoken will also take full advantage of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive trigger, meaning all the jumping, gliding, and twirling should feel all the more intense.

Frey can conjure bows, flaming swords, fireballs, and other spells that deal elemental damage in Forspoken. One of the spells, Oubliette, allows Frey to form an enormous ball of water to trap enemies, attacking which deals area damage.
Aside from equipping different gear, Frey can also equip nail paints (the equivalent of rings in traditional RPGs), all of which offers extra stats buff.
Forspoken is shaping up to be an ambitious game, one that's heavily reflected in its unique combat and traversal tools. If the DualSense implementations are done right, Forspoken could turn out to be a truly special experience though fans have to wait for a little while before they get their hands on it.
