How To Get Echo Locator In No Man's Sky

With the recent addition of Corrupted Worlds in No Man’s Sky, part of the Interceptor Update released in April 2023, players now have access to a variety of new features. Among them is the Echo Locator, a device that can be acquired from Corrupted Sentinels. However, finding an Echo Locator is a bit daunting task, especially for newcomers. With that said, here's an essential guide to getting Echo Locator in No Man's Sky.

Method 1: Finding the Echo Locator at a Secure Facility

The first method involves finding the Echo Locator at a secure facility on a planet. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Jump to a distance of at least seven and make sure the planet has life and is not an empty system.

2. Find the planet with the corrupted centrals in the bubble writing. This planet will be highly mountainous.

3. Scan for a trading post and call in your Minotaur.

4. Scan for a secure facility.

5. Check to see where the gravitational balls are, but save them for later.

6. Shoot the doors and start the fight. Hug the door during the fight.

7. Keep the fight active over time, making sure to move closer to the facility after each wave.

8. After killing a main Sentinel, the Echo Locator may drop in the first five waves or require another five.

9. Interact with the terminal at the secure facility to obtain the Echo Locator.

Method 2: Completing Corrupted Sentinel Missions in the Anomaly

The second method involves completing corrupted Sentinel missions in the Anomaly. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Wait for the mission to come around in the Anomaly. These missions reset every 10 minutes.

2. Head to the corrupted Sentinel's planet.

3. Complete the mission and head to the location near the camp.

4. Interact with the terminal to unlock the base. If unsuccessful, reload and try again.

By completing these missions, players have a chance to obtain the Echo Locator as a random drop. It's important to note that the backpack is also a random drop and may increase the chances of getting the Echo Locator.
