There are some changes coming to the player count in the Al Mazrah map of Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Here are the details. s
Al Mazrah Player Count Reduced In Season 5

As Call of Duty Warzone 2 moves into Season 5, the game continues to introduce new content since its launch. In the forthcoming season, players can anticipate an array of fresh content, including new game modes.

These additions are designed to diversify player experience within Warzone 2. Yet, most players are likely to gravitate toward the traditional Battle Royale mode to test their new weapons. This mode, however, isn't exempt from changes, as the map Al Mazrah is set to feature a reduced player count per game.

Since the start of Warzone 2, there have been a couple of different maps that have been released over the past few seasons. The very first one that the game had was Al Mazrah, which currently holds the title for the largest Battle Royale map in Warzone 2 right now. Previously, there could be 150 players per Battle Royale Map in Al Mazrah.

This number is set to change. The upcoming season will see the player count drop to 100 for each Battle Royale game on Al Mazrah. Activision has yet to elaborate on the reasons behind this alteration, though it might be a response to backend data suggesting that 150 players overstretch the current capacity of the Al Mazrah map.

Will Al Mazrah Ranked Have A Redued Player Count?

Although Al Mazrah will have a reduced player count for Battle Royale, it seems like this change will only be for normal matches. Activision has stated that Battle Royale Ranked matches in Al Mazrah will continue to have 150 players. This is because the change is pretty last minute notice, and Activision does not want to make things more difficult for ranked players.

However, this will more than likely change. Activision stated that Al Mazrah Ranked will remain at 150 players until further notice. But that means that it can change. So for players who want to seriously grind ranked, they might want to try some normal matches to get used to playing with only 100 players in Al Mazrah.
