Warzone Gets New Map In MW3: Release Date, Name, POIs Revealed

Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10, 2023, sparking a number of changes for the upcoming year in Call of Duty. Perhaps most notably is how the new mainline entry will influence Warzone, Call of Duty's free-to-play Battle Royale title. 

With each new main title, Warzone undergoes plenty of updates but the one that players are most curious about is the map. When Warzone integrates itself with Modern Warfare 3, the Battle Royale game will be receiving a brand new map. Below, we'll go over everything we know about the new map set to launch later this year.

MW3 x Warzone New Map — Urzikstan

The new map coming to Warzone is called Urzikstan, featuring 11 new POIs for players to learn and explore. Urzikstan will be replacing the current battle royale map, Al Mazrah, and will be joining the Resurgence maps Vondel and Ashika Island in rotation.  

In Season 1 of Warzone, players can expect Urzikstan to feature both battle royale and Plunder game modes at launch. During the COD NEXT presentation, which took place on October 5, it was revealed that Warzone's movement will be getting some adjustments to allign more with MW3's movement. So players can expect to see themselves having more enjoyable excursions around Urzikstan.

As for gameplay, players can expect the return of a number of mechanics though this time with some tweaks, including:

  • ADS while sliding
  • Tac-Stance
  • Slide Canceling
  • 150 Base Health
  • Classic Red Dot Mini Map
  • More Quality of Life updates
  • More Perk updates

Warzone's new Urzikstan map will feature the following POIs:

  • Levin Resort
  • Popov Power
  • Orlov Military Base
  • Seaport District
  • Urzikstan Cargo
  • Old Town
  • Low Town
  • Hadiqa Farms
  • Zaravan City
  • Zaravan Suburbs
  • Shahin Manor

Warzone Urzikstan Release Date

Warzone's integration with Modern Warfare 3, and its new map Urzikstan, is expected to release on December 5, 2023. Players will also be able to enjoy Warzone Ranked once again, however it will not be available at launch. Warzone Ranked is expected to arrive in 2024.
