How To Get S-Class Pirate Dreadnought in No Man’s Sky
Hello Games

With the arrival of the Omega 4.50 update, players can finally get an S-Class Pirate Dreadnought in No Man's Sky. However, as is tradition, it's hard to encounter S-Class freights, especially for beginners. Therefore, lets provide you with some quick tips and tricks to boost your chances of obtaining an S-Class Pirate Dreadnought in No Man's Sky.

How To Obtain S-Class Pirate Dreadnought in No Man’s Sky

Prepare for the Hunt

Before embarking on your journey, ensure you've claimed a Freighter, as this significantly reduces the chances of the pirate freighter spawning. Also, keep an eye on any settlements in your log, as they might impede your progress. If you've already amassed a Freighter full of items, move them out beforehand to prevent losses.

Choose the Right Location

The key to increasing your chances of an S-Class spawn lies in selecting a pirate system. While other systems offer a 1 to 3% chance, pirate systems boast a 5% likelihood for S-Class freighters. Install an economy scanner and a conflict scanner to identify suitable systems easily.

For a safer experience, switch to creative mode when jumping to a pirate system. Head to the Pirate Space Station, switch back to normal mode and ensure you exit your ship after the jump. This precautionary step is crucial.

Navigate the Galactic map, searching for another pirate system of the desired race for your crew. Jump to that system and repeat until the pirates appear. This may take several jumps, so be patient.

Efficient Combat Strategies

Once the pirate freighter spawns, the real challenge begins. Follow these steps for an efficient takedown:

  • Disable Engines: Enter the shield, destroy the engines, and prevent the freighter from escaping.
  • Neutralize Cannons: Exit the shield, eliminate the anti-freighter cannons, and proceed to the next set if necessary.
  • Scan and Reload: After defeating the freighter, scan its class. If it's not an S-Class, reload the restore point save, and repeat until you achieve the desired result.

Steps to Upgrade

After securing your freighter, it's time to upgrade your ship. Farm Salvage Frigate Modules and cargo bulkhead upgrades for a boosted experience. Alternatively, switch to creative mode for a quicker acquisition of necessary resources.

You'll have three supercharge slots for A-Class freighters, while S-Class freighters offer four. We would suggest players consider the time investment and their preferences before deciding on their upgrade path.

Unlocking color options and optimizing your Freighter's technology are the final steps. Experiment with different hyperdrive module configurations to maximize range. Freighter exploration is unparalleled, providing the best range and efficient planetary scanning.
