Donald Trump permabanned from Twitch
Back in June, Twitch issued a temporary suspension to Donald Trump's Twitch channel, which was used to broadcast campaign rallies as he looked to be reelected for a second term.
Originally, one of the comments that prompted Twitch to act was Trump calling Mexican immigrants "rapists" during a rebroadcast of an event held in 2016.
Speaking to Kotaku, a Twitch spokesperson claimed that "in line with our policies, President Trump’s channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream, and the offending content has been removed.”
Seven months after the fact and with the disastrous events that occurred at the United States Capitol, where Trump supporters stormed the building to stop Biden's confirmation, Twitch has reaffirmed its stance with the permaban issued to Trump's channel.
