Valkyrae's RFLCT brand has been officially terminated after backlash

Soon after the RFLCT website and products were removed, an official statement confirmed Valkyrae brand's termination.

Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter's RFLCT skincare line was previously reported to have had its website reset and products removed from ULTA's online store too. As of today, the skincare line is unavailable according to the website.

This could be due to the ongoing backlash facing the YouTube streamer after the skincare line’s claims. It was officially announced that the brand no longer exists after a leak suggested that Valkyrae wanted out of her RFLCT contract.

"RFLCT is no longer available."

An official statement was posted to the RFLCT website regarding the termination of the brand. The statement comments that they will focus on new directions, but it is not yet known if Valkyrae will be part of it.

"Thank you to all who played important roles to conduct research, develop products, create a brand and serve as partners along our journey. While we believe in the formulations created, after further reflection, have decided to move forward on new paths, effectively terminating the RFLCT brand." the statement reads.

The decision to effectively terminate the brand may not come as much of a surprise given the recent backlash and the website's home page being replaced with a static page featuring a countdown timer and a sign-up box.

The statement concluded that they can be contacted via the email address provided should persons have any inquiries or comments. RFLCT products had been removed from ULTA's online store, which we can assume happened around the same time the website had been removed.

As expected, people have commented on how much of a scam the skincare line is, pointing out the research conducted to support its blue light claims.

Those who have ordered products from the skincare line are wondering if they will have their products refunded as the statement didn't make any references to its refund policy.

Valkyrae is yet to comment on this matter, and we will update our site as more information becomes available.
