Season 22 changed the way players unlock Stasis. Let's see what's new with the Exo Stranger on Europa.

Stasis has been in Destiny 2 since 2020's Beyond Light expansion and has seen little love since it was introduced. After landing with less than favorable reception from the community due to its intense effectiveness in PVP, Stasis has only really seen nerfs since its introduction.

While players are still holding out hope that Stasis may one day see some improvements, Bungie did change the way players unlock the first Darkness subclass' ability, Aspects, and Fragments. Instead of complicated and time-consuming quests for each piece of the Stasis pie, Bungie has brought it in parity with the other subclass reworks. Let's take a look at how to unlock Stasis in Season of the Witch.

How To Unlock Stasis In Destiny 2: Season Of The Witch

Whether you're a Destiny veteran or a New Light, Stasis has historically been a difficult subclass to fully unlock. Each piece of Stasis was tied to a long and arduous quest that kept many players from wanting to unlock it at all due to the time commitment required to do so.

Thankfully, Bungie has adjusted how Stasis is unlocked so that New Lights and frustrated Destiny veterans alike can pay the Exo Stranger a visit and get the ball rolling

This looks familiar.

Head on over to the Beyond area on Europa to pay Elsie Bray a visit. There, you'll see that she has a new breakdown of her inventory, almost identical to that of Ikora Rey in the Tower.

Now, instead of those frustrating quests, all you need to do to fully unlock Stasis is pay Elise in Glimmer - A LOT of Glimmer. In order to fully unlock the subclass starting from nothing, you'll need to pay her a total of 400,500 Glimmer - that's nearly double the maximum you're allowed to carry at once. A majority of that cost is the Fragments, which is what has the greatest effect on the moment-to-moment gameplay, but all of that cost is worth it depending on what builds you're looking at running.

Don't go broke, save up your Glimmer!

Fear not, Guardians! If you're wondering how to get the best bang for your buck, we have Stasis Build guides for each of the classes: Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. Follow those guides to determine which Fragments you should pick up first, and then grab the rest as you go.
