Rebirth Island Returns To Warzone: Release Date, POIs Revealed

Warzone's well-loved, fast-paced BR map is finally coming back — and sooner than you think.

Since the end of the original Warzone, COD fans have wondered what was to become of their beloved Rebirth Island map. Warzone 2 (eventually rebranded as just Warzone), took on different settings and new maps, but nothing quite scratched the itch that Rebirth Island did.

Well, after plenty of hints and teases, it seems Rebirth Island is once again being reborn. To celebrate “Rebirth Day,” Activision has revealed that the fan-favorite map will be returning on April 3, 2024

A trailer for Rebirth Island’s return is set to drop later today, but for many this simple teaser was more than enough to spark the hype. “Time to go back to where it all began… It’s time boys,” one user said.

Rebirth Island will feature the following POIs:

  • Prison
  • Bioweapons
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Industry
  • Dock
  • Harbor
  • Factory
  • Living Quarters
  • Control Center
  • Stronghold
  • Headquarters

Originally, Rebirth Island was known for its small scale and close combat fights, making this map a particularly brutal proving ground. But it was this energy that made it so popular. Just how much of Rebirth Island’s original feeling will return to Warzone remains to be seen, but fans won’t have long to wait before seeing it all for themselves.
