How To Get Bloody Clothes In Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight developers recently reworked the prestige system, making it significantly easier to prestige characters and earn the rewards associated with prestige, like the bloody cosmetics. Now that Behaviour has made such major changes to the core progression and prestige system, many players wonder how to get bloody clothes in Dead by Daylight.

You can still get bloody clothes in Dead by Daylight after the update, but the method isn’t exactly the same as it used to be. Here’s how to get prestige cosmetics in Dead by Daylight so you can show off your skill in the game, whether you’re playing the horrifying killer or running away as a survivor.

1 June 2023 - We've updated this article to reflect how to get bloody clothes in Dead by Daylight in 2023.

In order to get bloody cosmetics for each character in Dead by Daylight, you need to reach prestige levels 6, 7, and  8 on the character you want the cosmetics.

Killers receive a bloody weapon at prestige level 6, torso at level 7, and head at level 8. Survivors receive torso at level 6, body at level 7, and head/mask at level 8.

To prestige a character, you’ll need to level your character up to level 50, then buy everything in the level 50 Bloodweb. The Bloodweb will then feature one center node, worth 20,000 Bloodpoints. You’ll need to prestige each character 8 times to receive the full set of bloody cosmetics for each one.

Once you’ve earned your bloody prestige cosmetics, you can find them by selecting your survivor or killer and clicking ‘Cosmetics’ on the left side. From there, you can mix and match and equip whatever you’d like.

Note that before the update, players only needed to reach prestige levels 1, 2, and 3 to unlock the prestige cosmetics for each character. Now that it is easier to prestige, prestige is non-optional, and Behaviour has decreased the grind, the required levels were increased. Now, players will receive a character’s tier 1, 2, and 3 teachable perks on all characters at prestige levels 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
