Dead By Daylight Smasher Killer Power

The Smasher Killer is an unused Dead by Daylight concept that never made it past early development. This killer would have been able to smash through environmental objects all around the map, permanently eliminating all means of escape for the four survivors.

Some killers, like Albert Wesker and The Nemesis, can break through pallets with the help of their power. No killer like The Smasher, though, has been added to the game.

No official art, detailed concepts, or even leaked game files of the Smasher Killer exist because his concept was scrapped so early in development.

What Happened To Dead By Daylight's Smasher Killer?

The Smasher Killer in Dead by Daylight was never added to the game because he would have been too powerful, according to developers. The Smasher would have been able to tear through obstacles - including walls, pallets, structures, and more - to attack survivors. Survivors' main counterplay against killers includes looping neatly around objects scattered around the map, and The Smasher would have robbed them of their resources entirely, making his power a little too unbalanced.
