How To Change Unit Classes in Fire Emblem Engage

Learn how to change classes and promote units in Fire Emblem: Engage with our step-by-step guide.
How To Change Unit Classes in Fire Emblem Engage

One of the ways Fire Emblem: Engage offers a dynamic experience is through its unit class system. As with other strategy games, each unit in Fire Emblem: Engage has certain strengths and weaknesses, and it entirely depends on the class of the unit.

Fortunately, players have the flexibility to change the class of any unit as they wish, allowing them to tailor their team to their desired playstyle. However, altering unit classes can be a daunting task, especially if you're new to Fire Emblem Engage. Therefore, this guide outlines all the steps and requirements required to change unit classes in Fire Emblem Engage.

In Fire Emblem: Engage, players can change the class of their units by accessing the "Change Class" option in the Inventory menu. To access this menu, players must first press the '+' button while in Somniel and then scroll down to the "Inventory" option. Once selected, players will see the "Change Class" option at the bottom of the corresponding menu.

However, players can change the class of their units only by using special items called "Master Seals" and "Second Seals". To use a Master Seal, players must have a unit that has reached level 10 and has not yet been promoted to a higher class. Using a Master Seal on a unit will allow them to change classes to any available class that is not locked.

On the other hand, Second Seals are used to change the class of a unit that has already been promoted. Using a Second Seal on a promoted unit will allow them to change their class to any available class that is not locked.

Master Seal is a valuable item in Fire Emblem: Engage that allows players to promote their units from basic classes to advanced classes. These seals can be obtained by completing story missions or found in chests scattered throughout the game world.

They can also be purchased from the Item shop in Somniel, but the stock is limited at the start of the game. After Chapter 18, players will have more access to the Master Seals in the Item shop, but they come at a high cost of 2500 Gold each, so players should make sure to accumulate enough gold before purchasing them.

So there you have it. That's everything you need to know about changing unit classes in Fire Emblem Engage.
