Highly sought after and an extremely precious resource, the Palium Ore is one of Palia’s most searched items many players have trouble finding in-game. While its appearance does stand out from Copper and Iron Ore nodes, Palium Ore nodes don’t spawn as frequently as other nodes, much to the dismay of some players.

Its value is immeasurable as it can be utilized in vast ways, and more recently, in the v0.173 patch update, players are looking to find more Pallium nodes in their farming runs. We’ve detailed everything they need to know about Palium Ores, including the best farming locations and uses in Palia.

How To Find The Palium Ores In Palia?

Before detailing the best farming locations for Palium Ore nodes, it's worth mentioning that if these areas are populated with other players, strike the node at least once to guarantee the loot drops. This ensures that all players get the loot drops instead of selfishly looting them for themselves, but likewise, players can also use the Ore Compass to help find these nodes quicker.

The best locations to farm Palium Ores are found at Bahari Bay, where they can utilize the Fast Travel Boards and head to the area's Central Stables location. From here, locate the geyser found within Proudhorn Pass, where they can find some Palium Ore nodes spawning on the ledges inside the chasm with the geyser down below.

The following location is the Thorny Thicket area, accessed from The Outskirts Fast Travel Board and headed northeast, but only go part of the way to Tamala's home. Instead, look for a waterfall near her home and find the small cave where they may discover Palium ore and other nodes, which can be mined.

Players can then continue on foot from Thorny Thicket, past The Outskirts Fast Travel Board, and straight to the Flooded Fortress. Palium ore nodes tend to spawn in this location, particularly on the western and eastern sides of the fortress, with the first few nodes appearing on the cliff face right from a geyser grate.

Head to the western side of the fortress using a Glider and climb up the cliff face before running towards a tree where more Palium ore nodes can be found. After the nodes have been mined, use the Glider to travel east towards the cave entrance to the Pavel Mines, a highly contested area for Palium ore nodes.

A node may spawn near this entrance, but find the other entrance near the Ancient Aquaduct to find a geyser to reach the top of Pavel Mines. Head in the western direction, along a trail where they can find the top Pavel Mines entrance, and inside, they can discover some Palium ore nodes before going to the Pulsewater Plains Fast Travel Board.

Other notable farming spots include the cave near the Hideaway Bluffs Fast Travel Board and the hidden and underground caves at the flooded ruins between Hideaway Bluffs and Windy Ruins. The only thing left is to repeat this farming route a few times a week to maximize their turnover of Palium ores, which can be used in various ways.

Remember to mine the rocks and nodes that spawn in the abovementioned locations, as players may obtain Starstones, Stones, and Flint, the latter of which are precious crafting resources. Additionally, they help slightly boost the spawn rates of Palium, so it would be advised to mine all rocks and ore nodes as such.

With enough Palium Ores, players can start using them in various applications; however, they will need a recipe for Palium Bar, which can be obtained from Hodari for 500 Gold after reaching Mining Skill Level 6. Using the Basic Smelter, they can craft Palium Bars, which five ores make one bar before it's used in making the Exquisite tool upgrades for their Axe, Belt, Bow, Pick, Fishing Rod, Hoe, and Watering Can.

Additionally, it's a primary resource for The Order Furnishing Set, which demands plenty of Palium Bars to craft all nine furniture pieces. Other Furnishing Sets requiring Pailum Bars include the Bellflower, Dragontide, Emberborn, and Moonstruck, as multiple pieces will ask for this rare crafting resource.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
