Former Fornite professional player and content-creating sensation, Myth recently announced on 11th July 2022 his departure from Twitch after seven years of streaming to join YouTube Gaming and start a new chapter.

After gaining success through content creation, streaming, and even playing professional Fortnite for TSM, Myth’s transition to YouTube Gaming ends after nearly a decade of entertainment on Twitch. It follows the announcement of Lily “Lily Pichu” Ki’s transfer to YouTube Gaming too.

After seven years of streaming, Myth has become quite the celebrity across the gaming scene, amassing 7.4 million followers across Twitch and posting videos on his YouTube channel for 4.5 million subscribers. He’s joined TSM and even competed professionally too.

There’s no question behind his success, but his transition to YouTube Gaming surprises fans worldwide as he starts fresh. Well, technically he already has a pretty solid foundation to build on with the number of sheer subscribers he has, but it’s definitely a somewhat new experience altogether.

Announced through a Twitter video spanning a minute and twenty seconds focused on decisions and his choices in life, Myth announced the platform move.

He starts the video by setting the tone and stating, “all my life, decisions have made me who I am.” Afterward, Myth talks about all the possible choices he could’ve made before leading up to his success, and also contemplates what might’ve happened if he never began his journey.

“I could’ve kept grinding Fortnite, sweating day in and day out, trying to be the best of the best.” Myth adds, “I could’ve given up when I was unsure about my future as a streamer, even after years of hard work. Or, I could’ve never started at all. I could’ve taken the risk on the one thing I felt like I was meant to do.”

Following those words, Myth then clicked the YouTube Gaming live button symbolizing his transition and concluding the video by saying, “decisions have me who I am, and this is my decision.”

The streamer’s decision surprises fans across the gaming community once again, especially after Lily Pichu’s similar announcement last week. Myth joins other massive internet personalities like Valkyrae, Sykkuno, TimTheTatman, and DrDisrespect as the platform continues to grow.

Tune in to Myth’s YouTube Gaming stream officially starting on 12th July 2022.
