The Breakneck Auto Rifle is one of the most powerful legacy weapons in Destiny 2 that has become relevant once more in Season of the Wish.

There's no shortage of great-looking and powerful Auto Rifles in Destiny 2 right now, like the Lightfall exclusive Quicksilver Storm. While Breckneck may not look as fancy as that or some of the post-Forsaken era weapons, it's easily one of the best Auto Rifles you can currently get in the game. In this guide, we explain how to get the Breakneck Auto Rifle in Destiny 2, including our take on its god roll.  

How To Get The Breakneck Auto Rifle In Destiny 2

You can get the Breakneck Auto Rifle in Destiny 2 by playing Gambit matches. Breakneck can drop randomly from Gambit, so getting the roll you desire may take some time. As such, you may want to pray to the RNG gods for this one. You can also bring Gambit Engrams to the Drifter for Engram Focusing to get the weapon, though it will also be a random drop from here. 

Breakneck God Roll In Destiny 2

Below is our preference for the Breakneck God Roll for PvE in Destiny 2. 

Onslaught and Subsistence together is easily one of the most deadly perk combinations in Destiny 2 right now. Onslaught increases the weapon's rate of fire, whereas Subsistence reloads it for you. On paper, this is even better than Osteo Striga SMG since, in addition to getting unlimited magazine, you will also get an increased rate of fire. It is perfect for not just clearing ads but also yellow bar enemies because of the enhanced fire rate. 

Furthermore, with Ricochet Rounds and Range Masterwork, you get better range, so popping enemies from a distance won't be an issue. Lastly, with Arrowhead Brake, you get better recoil and handling speed. 

It's a shame that Breckneck isn't a craftable weapon since enhanced perks would have worked wonders for this one. Regardless, the aforementioned god roll is sufficient to decimate most yellow and red bar enemies in the game, which makes the Gambit grind worth it.
