Here's how to get the Monte Carlo catalyst in Destiny 2.

The Monte Carlo exotic Auto Rifle received a surprising update in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish with the addition of a new catalyst. The catalyst adds a new perk, Stochastic Vengeance, which adds an alternate firing mode to the weapon.

Whether you have just acquired the Monte Carlo or are a veteran user excited to take the weapon out for a spin, this guide explains how to get the Monte Carlo catalyst in Destiny 2 and if it's worth the effort.

How To Acquire The Monte Carlo Catalyst In Destiny 2

You can get the Monte Carlo exotic catalyst by running ritual activities like Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit playlists. Since the catalyst is a random drop, be prepared to farm these activities a few times, and also, don't forget to pray to the RNG gods.

Once you have the Monte Carlo catalyst, you will need to kill tons of enemies to actually equip it.

Yes, absolutely! With the catalyst, the Monte Carlo can deal an absurd amount of damage. The catalyst uses the weapon's perk, Markov Chain, to activate an alternate melee fire mode. The Bayonet beneath the barrel is now a functioning melee weapon that deals massive damage.

You will need five stacks of Markov Chain to activate the bayonet. Every melee kills you make will give you five additional stacks of Markov Chain, so you can start chaining bayonet kills (as they count as melee kills) to deal massive damage continuously. It's also important to add that the bayonet melee attacks of Monte Carlo deal 5-6 times more damage than regular melee attacks, so if you're running a melee-focused build, this is a great option.
