Amouranth's true passion and what's stopping her from quitting Twitch

There's been a lot of controversy surrounding Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, the Hot Tub queen of Twitch as of late. This is partly due to the recent ban of both Amouranth and Indiefoxx for their ASMR licking stints, as well as the fact that they only served a three-day sentence before getting unbanned. Some believe they should have been permanently banned, including the likes of xQc, who recently slammed Twitch's decision to not permaban Amouranth after repeated offences. Now, Amouranth has revealed that she has thought about quitting Twitch due to harassment, and the reason why she has not, in part, because of her true passion.

Amouranth on harassment and quitting Twitch

In a recent interview with Polygon, Amouranth spoke out about the harassment she receives behind-the-scenes, and how it nearly drove her to quit Twitch.

In the interview, Amouranth explained how she has thought about Twitch streaming and if it is worth doing: "I have thought about it - like, is it worth it? I really do think it is because every job has its stresses. Every job has stuff that isn’t peachy-keen perfect. Like if you’re in retail, you have to deal with annoying Karens all day."

Amouranth has been outspoken against critics following her ban due to the whole ASMR licking debacle, calling it "enormously ironic" recently.

On the topic of the harassment she is receiving, Amouranth told Polygon that: Do I feel like I deserve [the harassment]? No, I don’t think anyone does. But I do feel it’s worth it just to keep grinding while I’m young and have the energy, and then when I’m older and have saved enough money, I can actually do what I want with it."

Amouranth thinks it is worth the harassment now, early in her life, to frontload the work, which is what has convinced her not to quit Twitch streaming.

What's Amouranth's true passion?

So why is Amouranth taking the harassment and continuing her work? Well, it's because of her true passion, animals and doing animal rescue. 

Amouranth explained: "My passion, at the end of the day, is animals, and I want to do an animal rescue using my platforms. But right now, we’re just saving money, milking it while it’s good."

Amouranth, of course, has a massive social media following, which can be a huge advantage, according to the hot tub queen: "I think social media is a huge advantage. There are so many animal rescues that don’t have enough support or funding because they don’t know how to use social media, since most people involved now in rescue are boomers."

Lastly, according to the interview, horses and dogs are her favourite animals.
