Pokimane reveals streaming partnership with LG and Twitch

After teasing a huge announcement, Imane “Pokimane” Anys has finally revealed a new partnership with streaming platform Twitch and electronics manufacturer LG.

The promotional partnership, which will feature Pokimane alongside several other female streamers including Celine “Starsmitten,” Angela “AriaSaki” Don, and Alena “AngelsKimi” Kim, is scheduled to begin this Wednesday, November 20, where Pokimane will serve as the squad leader.

The live stream event will take advantage of Twitch’s squad stream feature, a service that allows up to four streamers to combine their feeds into a single window. Though the games the women will be playing are yet to be announced, they will be of the MOBA genre, so it could likely be either League of Legends or Dota 2. Pokimane will be using LG’s ‘UltraGear’ monitors during the live event, which will also be a featured stream on Twitch’s home page.

Her “Just Chatting” streams have also become widely popular on Twitch and make of more than half of the latter time, followed by her streams of popular games Teamfight Tactics, Fortnite, and Minecraft.

When Pokimane first hinted at a new partnership that she was working on, many fans assumed she would be leaving Twitch to join Microsoft’s competitor streaming platform, Mixer, though the popular streamer was adamant in saying it could be something as simple as “getting a new cat.”

Pokimane has previously partnered with other brands such as Hot Pockets and meal delivery service Freshly.

Although a number of popular streamers have jumped ship with Twitch to join Mixer, it appears as though Pokimane is happy where she is and will continue to stay put with partnerships like this.
