Why Is Andrew Tate So Popular? Top G Is Taking Over Social Media

Internet personality and controversial ex-kickboxer Andrew Tate has amassed millions of followers; be it fans or haters, he’s got the whole world talking about him. A few influencers and online personalities that carry more weight with their words have also been talking about Andrew Tate.

In a 9th August 2022 IMPAULSIVE podcast episode, Logan and Jake Paul, alongside other influencers, discussed the former four-time kickboxing world champion and his rise to fame. The episode discussed various topics, including the brother’s seemingly passionate desire to “beat the sh*t” out of him. Beyond that, one discussion that struck harder than most was how Andrew Tate became so viral online in the first place.

By now, almost everyone on the internet should have heard about Andrew Tate, probably due to his no shortage of controversial remarks about women and society. But for those who still don’t know who he is, here’s a handful of things that led Andrew Tate to be one of the most talked-about people in the world.

His initial remarks about women being “terrible drivers” and “anti-women” rants on Twitch first led him to the hot seat. While the ex-kickboxer was amassing much interest online already, it was arguably when he drove popular Twitch streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel mad over his controversial remarks that he started gaining even more attention.

It only took a few days and weeks before Andrew Tate started appearing on Twitch again. Instead, he debated against political pundit Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker, where HasanAbi claimed the former kickboxer’s business Hustler's University to be a pyramid scheme and debunked his controversial arguments with scientific facts.

Following these podcasts with influencers and streamers like Adin Ross, Kai Cenat, and more, Andrew Tate slowly began dominating the Just Chatting genre on Twitch. From there, Andrew Tate started appearing on YouTube podcasts like FULL SEND, where he discussed his takes on women, marriage, and business.

Here, he voiced his opinion on marriage being only beneficial for women and that “women enjoy a lot of things when they don’t have to pay for it or organize anything.”

In Logan and Jake Paul’s recent podcast, IMPAULSIVE, they discussed various topics, including the wish to fight Andrew Tate in professional combat and “beat the sh*t” out of him.

Andrew Tate’s rally of bantering between the Paul brothers has been going on for a short while. Jake Paul said, “He talks sh*t about me; says he wants to beat my ass or can beat my ass, and all of this stuff.”

Not only that, though. Logan Paul and Jake Paul agreed with their fellow friend and speaker on the podcast, Mike Majlak, and his opinion of Andrew Tate’s stardom as a manipulation of the masses and their beliefs. Mike stated, “Andrew Tate is actually a product of the people that hate him the most.”

Following those remarks, the discussion led everyone to believe like all things rising within viral trends; it’ll only take some time before it falls.

Andrew Tate continues to remain a popular influencer after over a month since he went viral on Twitch.

The Paul brothers commended Andrew Tate’s business mentality and intelligence regarding capturing and growing an audience. But generally felt his opinions to be outdated and misogynistic, questioning how fans could validate his absurd takes.

Amid his fame, Andrew Tate has arguably gone viral for his more radical views on the opposing side of feminism and emasculation. Although his takes aren't always positively-enforcing, to most, he's a bold character of leadership and support for men who feel like they're not enough in this world.

While speculative at best, this could explain the ex-kickboxer's rampant rise to fame and seeming domination of social media. But will his popularity continue to grow in the following months steadily? That’s for time to tell.
