Asmongold reveals passing of his mother

Twitch streamer and World of Warcraft influencer Asmongold revealed via social media that his mother had passed away "earlier this week," shocking fans and fellow streamers alike.

At the beginning of October, Asmongold's mom was in an accident involving her oxygen tank, been hospitalised since then after sustaining burns from the incident, with the streamer taking a break as a result.

"It's hard to imagine that it's even real. I don't know if I'll ever be able to come to terms with it. She was my best friend and the light of my life," Asmongold shared via Twitter.

Earlier this week, my mom passed away.

Asmongold also shared a sweet photo of a younger self hugging his mom alongside the tweet. 

Plenty of fellow content creators shared kind words towards the streamer, including fellow One True King co-founder Matthew "Mizkif" Rinaudo, who revealed his favourite Asmongold moment alongside his mom.

The moment Mizkif is referencing happened all the way back in 2008 when Asmongold's mom grinded World of Warcraft until she hit level 60.
