Pokimane slams Ninja's advice to JiDion: "You can't run around raiding bitches"

The hate raid controversy between Twitch streamers JiDion and Imane "Pokimane" Anys continues to escalate, with platform icon Tyler "Ninja" Blevins now getting caught in the middle of it.

To get you up to speed in case you've been living under a rock the past couple of weeks, let's recap. Pokimane received her first ban earlier this month for watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, with her return to streaming on 14th January marred by content creator JiDioin, who hate raided her, prompting the 25-year-old to shut her broadcast down preemptively. 

Hate raids have been a torn on the side of content creators for the past few months, particularly female or minorities, with unsavoury characters targetting their channels on a constant basis to the point of Twitch having to acknowledge the issue directly, an impressive feat for a rather apathetic platform. 

JiDion would eventually get permanently banned from Twitch, with the site overriding their initial tame (in typical Twitch fashion) 14-day suspension following community outrage.

Before all that went down, however, it seems JiDion received help from none other than Ninja himself, according to Pokimane.

Ninja's advice to JiDion 

On her 17th January stream, Pokimane called out Ninja for trying to help JiDion avoid a proper punishment for his actions. She even went as far as revealing private messages sent from Ninja denying said accusations. 

Pokimane explained how, during JiDion's hate raid, he also sent part of his viewership to Ninja's stream, where they proceeded to talk about how the content creator was harassing Pokimane at the same time.

"DiJion's viewers start telling Ninja that DiJion hate raided me and that DiJion and his viewers really want Ninja to help DiJion avoid getting banned," she stated. 

"Ninja then proceeds to joke around about it and tells him 'You can't run around raiding bitches on Twitch' which DiJion obviously immediately takes as Ninja calling me a bitch," Pokimane added. "Ninja then said he meant bitches generally."

The big dealbreaker came after, as Pokimane explains that Ninja actually offered JiDion to put him in contact with his Twitch representative.

"'The most I can do is text my Twitch representative about this and then he proceeds to do just that. Why Ninja would help someone evade a ban for harassing me? I have no idea."

Ninja eventually decided to send a Twitter DM to Pokimane in the middle of her stream, denying all accusations she'd made minutes before.

It remains to be seen if Ninja will address this new controversy publicly in the following days.
