Call of Duty Warzone 2 has a lot of new content compared to the original game. For example, players can experience what is known as the DMZ mode which is a game mode where players try to extract from the area, which is very similar to Escape From Tarkov.
Taking inspiration from Escape From Tarkov, there is a new laboratory in DMZ mode called Building 21. A lot of rare loot can be obtained from this building and players were very excited to explore this area. But it seems like the building is now locked down and players can no longer access this area. Here, we will discuss why.
Why Can I Not Access Building 21 In Warzone 2 DMZ?
Players first gained access to Building 21 on December 19th. They were able to get access to the building by collecting keycards to breach the building. However, on December 20th, Infinity Ward sent out the following tweet:
Essentially, players can no longer enter Building 21 even though it was just opened. But why is that? The answer might be a bit more simple than players expected.
Reports on Reddit and social media show players actually duplicating keycards that give them essentially, unlimited access to Building 21. It could be that Infinity Ward is trying to fix the keycard system so players do not have unlimited access to the building.
When Will Building 21 Unlock In Warzone 2 DMZ?
Thankfully, it will not take too long for players to get right back into Building 21. When loading up DMZ players can actually see that there is a timer on when Building 21 will be back open for players to explore.
According to the timer, players will be able to get back into Building 21 on December 30th. That gives DMZ players a couple of days they can farm more keycards so they can access what the building has to offer. It will be worth their time because they can get very rare and insured weapons in DMZ. Having these weapons will give them an advantage over other DMZ players, so it is worth their time to farm up some of the keycards for Building 21.
